I messed up. I really dove head first into buying my first legit poker set. I did it haphazardly and didn’t get samples. Now im stuck with a bunch of Nile clubs that I don’t like! Thankfully I just bought a set of royals that I really enjoy but still, very frustrating stuff.

Yep, Nile Club ceramics are pretty awful (and over-priced).

Preach the 'get samples' mantra and donate the Nile Clubs to a good cause, gaining some chip karma towards future endeavors.

What makes them so bad? Never held em before.

The samples I have from back in the day have pretty faded and bland colors. Not sure if they are all like that.

They are made of low-grade material and break/chip very easily, plus they are not flat and thus impossible to create stable stacks.

I'm pretty glad that I dive in first on Paulsons, but at this point if you really don't want them, you could try sell them at lower price in classifieds or auction them.
