Those are paper / cardboard chips.

He says they are mostly clay. Maybe they are but the fluer dis lis on the bottom sure looks like my
paper chips. There are other old clay chips that look similar like the red one at the top. They are very light weight and brittle.
Kind of interesting but not rare and these don't look to be in very good condition.
