It is time to vote for the 2024 PCF Custom Chip Set Hall of Fame!

If you read nothing else, please read these two points!!!
  • When voting please MAKE ALL YOUR SELECTIONS AT ONE TIME!!!! Once you hit “Submit”, you will NOT be able to go back and edit them!!!
  • You may vote for as many or as few sets as you like. This year’s committee has recommended that three sets be enshrined in the HOF.

Current PCF HOF Sets
All sets currently in the PCF HOF can viewed here: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/resources/categories/hall-of-fame.6/

Hall of Fame (HOF) Purpose
The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to recognize significant achievements in the creation of custom poker chip sets. This recognition comes from the votes of the PCF site membership, in collaboration with the work of a selection committee that solicits feedback from the membership and nominates sets for a formal vote. The committee is comprised of current PCF members, and the committee’s nominations do not necessarily equate to choosing the most popular sets. There is no quantitative way to assess the merits of a poker chip set; therefore, it is up to each committee member’s qualitative judgement on whether a set should be nominated for public voting. As poker chip sets are a very personal creation, in no way should a lack of nomination be viewed as any criticism on the quality of a member’s custom set. The entire HOF process is solely intended to celebrate and augment the enjoyment of our hobby.

The HOF Committee Membership
The committee is comprised of a chairperson, and a group of members. The chairperson’s role is to facilitate the HOF nomination process, and the committee’s role is to determine those sets that merit consideration for a full site vote. There was no formal membership selection process for the current committee members, it simply self-manifested. When a current committee member wishes to step down, they can select their replacement. If a replacement is not selected, the current committee members will debate and offer a seat to a replacement member. It is the intent that the members rotate every few years, to harvest the best ideas from a diverse group of people. Current HOF committee:
HOF Nomination and Selection Process
Custom sets made by current or former PCF members are eligible for consideration in the HOF (permission from the owner is required for nomination). There is a one year “cooling-off” period from the date a set is revealed before a set is eligible for HOF consideration, intended to prevent short-term hype from influencing the process. Custom sets are eligible for nomination for a period of four years. The 2024 nominee class includes sets revealed from January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2022. Once a set has exceeded the eligibility period, it is no longer up for consideration. However, the HOF committee may nominate a limited number of “expired” sets for legacy consideration (i.e., to correct a previous oversight). The general process is as follows:
  • The HOF committee will solicit ideas from the site membership for HOF consideration in the first half of the year, including legacy sets.
  • Using the opinions of the membership and their own personal beliefs, each committee member provides an independently created list of sets to the chairperson. Note that PCF moderators and admin have no prior knowledge or input regarding nominations.
  • The sets are compiled by the chairperson, and the committee privately debates the merits of those sets. Eventually, sets that merit formal nomination are determined by an internal voting process. Members of the committee may recommend and vote for the nomination of their own sets; however, members of the committee are strongly discouraged from promoting their own sets (i.e., other committee members should do all the talking). The chairperson is responsible to discourage all forms of self-promotion.
  • Once formal nominations are completed, notification is provided to the set owners. The creator of a set must formally agree to inclusion of their set in the HOF process, and a draft write-up of the set with pictures is requested to facilitate the voting process.
  • After owner consent and information are obtained for all sets, the final list is subject to a public membership vote where the top sets will be inducted into the HOF. Voting is open for 2 weeks to established members - 30 days with a minimum of 30 posts. The number of sets for induction will be determined by the committee, based on the quality of that year’s nominations. This year’s committee has recommended that three sets be enshrined in the HOF. The quantity of PCF votes for each set is public; however, the ballots are secret.

Without further ado, here are this year's HOF Nominees........

Thoughts from the owner:
[NOTE - @Eloe2000 has not visited PCF since 2/23/24 and thus has not provided a write-up about his set; members of the committee have crafted this using information from his reveal threads]

I set out this time to create a set inspired by specific elements of South Florida where I am a non-native but currently live and where we play at my house nicknamed Casa Mango. I wanted to use bright tropical colors and also knew that I needed shaped inlays as they really elevate any chip. We call my house Casa Mango because of an exceptionally large and old mango tree that was centered in my backyard under which we play poker every week all year round. During the two to three months of mango season we would get as many as 200 mangos per day falling from significant heights. We developed a prop bet that if a mango hit anyone at the table while we were playing, everyone at the table would owe that person $5. While it only occurred once, it struck fear in the hearts of grown men every time we heard one release and rip down through the canopy. The Casa Mango name for our game really stuck. Unfortunately, since this set was ordered, I had an arborist examine the tree and removal was recommended due to age/rot/termites/proximity to house etc, and it has since been removed. This set has now become one to commemorate the tree.

Chips in the cash set are inspired by the electric pink sunsets that we can get at anytime of year that bathe the city in pink ($.25), by the amazing deep blue and turquoise water and coral reefs within the view of downtown Miami ($1), by the mangos that inspired the entire set ($5), by bougainvillea plants at our wedding that we subsequently planted around Casa Mango and that now grow around the property ($20) and by the colors of the city of Miami at night reflecting from the water ($100).

For the tournament set, I choose the 6A14 spot pattern because of the relative large spots in a classic spot pattern sometimes seen on WSOP chips as well as everyone's favorite home game chip. I don't have any special color story here. I just wanted to lean on non-DG base colors since I used DG base colors throughout the cash set. But I did want to use darker base colors for the lower denoms and lighten them as the values increased. And conversely start with lighter and brighter spots and darken those as values increased. I was excited to design the full inlay space and then add a white border. Very happy with the inlays on these.

Thoughts from the committee:
Both the cash set and tournament set knock it out of the park. The inlay is amazing. The spot patterns and clay choices work well in both sets. Excellent example overall of how to do bright colors well. Inspiration drawn from natural surroundings resulted in a cohesive, colorful work of art.

Chessie's Cove
Owner: @kirchhausen
Artist: @Toby
Manufacturer: CPC
Mold: Large Crown
Showcase Thread: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/chessies-cove.81032/

Thoughts from the owner:
When I moved back to Maryland in 2020 after a nearly 20-year hiatus, I wanted something to commemorate my joy in coming home... my goal was something whimsical and fun, but at the same time something that had special meaning to me. The idea of Chessie’s Cove covered all of the bases

For those of you not from Maryland, Chessie is a folkloric sea creature sea creature that roams the Chesapeake Bay area (think the Loch Ness Monster with a Bawlmer accent). As I live mere minutes from the bay now, I think Chessie’s cove has both whimsical and close to home covered.

The base colors and edge spots were inteneded to fit with the theme. Some remind of nautical themes, others remind of the local area (Naval Academy colors inspired the frac and the Orioles inspired the $100s), while the $25 are my version of Chessie herself.

I hope you all enjoy these chips as much as I do!

Thoughts from the committee:
The hurdle to be nominated as a HOF set is already high, but it goes up after already being nominated once. The committee decided that Chessie's deserved a second nomination after getting the nod for the first time in 2023. @kirchhausen delivers a unique set with a fun nautical theme centered on Chessie the monster that is expertly displayed in a cohesive and playful inlay. Subtle design choices like the denominations displayed in the water ripples push the inlay over the top. Great choices on the clay throughout the lineup, but the bold choice of the maroon $5 deservedly stole the show.

Set Denominations & Breakdown:
  • 200 - .25 Base Color: Retro Blue; Spot Pattern 1/2 Pie; Spot Color: Yellow; Inspiration: These are the closest colors to the Naval Academy's sports teams, which is a 15 minute boat ride up the bay from my home.
  • 400 - $1 Base Color: Bright White; Spot Pattern 3916; Spot Color: Imperial Blue; Inspiration: the imperial blue reminds me of the color of this part of the Atlantic Ocean. The white with the blue spot reminds me a little of a life preserver, you know Chesapeake Bay vibes.
  • 1000 - $5 Base Color: Maroon; Spot Pattern 3DSA18; Spot Colors: DG Pink, Retro Lavender; Inspiration: when I play poker I like to think that I've got "moves like Jagger". Those who know, know.
  • 200 - $25 Base Color: Light Green; Spot Pattern 4TA181418; Spot Colors: DG Yellow, Retro Green; Inspiration: Chessie, the old lady herself. These chipes recall her green scales, and monstrous yellow eyes.
  • 200 - $100 Base Color: Gray; Spot Pattern 6DSA; Spot Colors: DG Peach, Black; Inspiration: who else then tha home town Bawlmer Os, hon. Biggest denim dedicated to dem birds, may they win another World Series before I shuffle off this mortal coil

Chipdust
Owner: @Josh Kifer
Artist: @JeepologyOffroad
Manufacturer: CPC
Mold: Large Crown
Showcase Thread: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/chipdust-l-crown-set.97140/

Thoughts from the owner:
Chipdust was one of those sets that just came together slowly thru a 8-month period. It all started with some offhanded joke that my next set "Should be named the Chipdust since it'll be paid for my milling...". Of course, we all had a laugh, but in the end, I started planning. First, I reached out to John and he was excited to build me out a replica denom and logo, but with the new casino name. It started as a cash set, slowly morphed into an "Ultimate cash" set that really is a cash and tourney set combined. This is reflected by the shaped inlays in the lower half and round in the upper. But it also gives flexibility if your table hates 20s and you want to use 25s. To give it maximum flexibility, we played with having a cash 100 in grey, and a tourney 100 in black with the same edge spots, which now is one of my favorite features of the set.

I wanted to play with the entire color chart here and lean into them instead of my minimalist approach with Cactus Petes or my controlled chaos of the Scarlets Room Set. I also wanted to really see what LCrown could do in a large set with a vast use of color. Overall, Its one of my favorites. Tons of color. Tons of spots. But it works together in its own unique way as each set, and together as a whole.

I actually love the logo so much that we made a Die set of every denom to do hot stamps that match the inlays perfectly.

Thoughts from the committee:
This is the way an homage set should be done. The color choices give a strong nod to the vintage styling of the old Stardust chips while still maintaining originality and not copying any of the old chips directly. And while the inlay is a play on one of the greatest classic inlays of all time, it still remains personal and the name ties in perfectly with Kifer's business.

Set Denominations & Breakdown:
  • 100 - 50c - Butterscotch, Dayglo Orange
  • 200 - $1 - Imperial Blue, Dayglo Peach, Dayglo Green, Pink
  • 300 - $5 - Dayglo Tiger, Retro Lavender, Dayglo Arc Yellow, Light Blue
  • 100 - $20 - Maroon, Dayglo Peach, Dayglo Peacock
  • 100 - $25 - Light Green, Retro Green, Dayglo Yellow
  • 200 - $100 - Black, White, Dayglo Tiger, Retro Lavender
  • 20 - Alternate $100 - Gray, White, Dayglo Tiger, Retro Lavender
  • 100 - $500 - Blurple, Green, Dayglo Pink
  • 150 - $1k - Dayglo Arc Yellow, Dayglo Yellow, Butterscotch
  • 100 - $5k - Bright White, Dayglo TIger, Pink, Dayglo Peach, Dayglo Green
  • 20 - $25k - Dayglo Peacock, Bright White, Dayglo Tiger, Light Blue

Thoughts from the owner:
Note: The following comments are taken from the showcase thread linked above.
"I finally landed on the Hotel El Portal which is a special resort to me and my wife in Sedona, AZ. We also have a strong connection to Flagstaff and down in the desert of Phoenix and Tucson. With that, I wanted a southwest themed set with influences of the earthtones/ color pops of the region, nods to the Navajo culture, and southwest imagery.

Inlay
The actual hotel has a very cool old truck I wanted a nod to on one side of the inlay. Keeping with the themes mentioned above, I loved the idea of a southwest/ Navajo image on the other inlay side. And I love the orange and turquoise color combo often seen in this type of artwork and a lot of tattoo work.

5c
Purple is my daughter and wife's favorite color, and purple/ white were the color of her wedding flowers.

25c
After previously owning a set of the Cali Rounders, requirement 1 was a DG Tiger chip that would see a lot of play. The Black and Blue edgespots represent North and South on the Navajo flag.

$1
There is a little mountain at an exit just north of Phoenix that gets covered in daisy's every spring so I wanted the light blue of the sky and the bright pop of the dg yellow here. Also represents the bright yellow of the Aspen trees in Flagstaff during the fall.

$5
Inspired by desert flowers, particularly cactus flowers. Chocolate base for the dirt with DG Green for the contrast of the cactus from the desert and DG Pink for the bright pink cactus flowers. I also couldn't decide which edgespot I liked so went with two versions that can play independently or together as the game requires.

$20
Inspired by the sun which is the omnipresent force in the SW. I wanted the 'hot' and oppressive feel of the heat rather than just as bright as possible. I absolutely love how bright the peach 'rays' are even against the canary base.

$100
Unlikely to get any use, but figured aim high with the goal of the long term set.
Went with the standard white base vs. Bright white to give a bit of a 'dusty' feel. Also inspired by the snow which is my favorite season in Sedona and Flagstaff. Red and brown tones on edgespots for the red rocks of the area"

Thoughts from the committee:
The committee loves a well-executed concept that draws on clear inspiration and source material and El Portal is clearly and example of that. The chips work well with each other and have good harmony. The inlay, albeit two-sided, works well and highlights a very personal memory/story from the owner. The color palate matches perfectly to the landscapes of the area.

Set Denominations & Breakdown:
  • 5c: Lavender w/ bright White (3916)
  • 25c: DG Tiger w/ Black & DG Peacock (2D14)
  • $1: Light Blue w/DG Yellow and Charcoal (3D14)
  • $5: Chocolate w/ DG Pink and DG Green (4D14 primary, 4DS316 secondary)
  • $20: Canary w/ DG Peach and Red (3TA316)
  • $100: White w/ Chocolate, Retro Red, and Maroon (3TA316)

Just Because It's Wednesday Night
Owner: jbutler
Artist: Christian Steinbacher
Manufacturer: CPC
Mold: Small Crown
Showcase Thread: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/thre...esday-night-cpc-small-crown-cash-chips.76244/

When we moved back to Atlanta in 2016, we bought a house built in 1940 and updated only occasionally since, so we had a bit of work to do. One of the contractors we brought in saw my poker paraphernalia and offered to introduce me to a golfing buddy who had been in the same home game for decades. I took him up on it and within a week had connected with a group of great guys who had played every Wednesday for more than 40 years. I was an occasional guest for a few months until one of the regulars died and I've had a weekly spot ever since.

We play a rather idiosyncratic dealer's choice structure with games changing hand-for-hand and playing $1-$10 spread limit with a four-bet cap and occasional calls for three rounds of big bet (alternating rounds of NLHE, NLO, and NL Big-O) where the initial buy-in for the round is capped at $50 and blinds are $1/2. Needless to say, given that shallow big bet structure, it's a very, very gambly game, but it's the perfect home game stakes. The big winners/losers are typically up/down around $500. Good for bragging rights and needling, but no one goes home hurt. Often heard are the words, "Just because it's Wednesday night," as a player tosses in chips with barely a prayer to win half the pot.

I've always (always as in I remember talking about this concept with Marsha back on Chiptalk circa 2006) loved the idea of making a limit set with a uniform base chip color and alternating spot colors within the primary working denomination. During covid, it occurred to me to use that concept in a set in which each player would be featured on a chip. It took a bit to work out who would be where (see my original post for details as to who is who and where and why and other various notes about the $13 denom, etc.) and it's not exactly a 1-to-1 with my original limit set idea because the game doesn't play strictly limit, but once I settled on the basics, the rest fell into place.

Big shout out to Atlantic City chips which, in the recent past, were required by law to be white with 1/8” spots. I’ve seen a few people put together racks of mixed AC $1s which always look beautiful.

Tremendous credit to the graphic designer, Christian Steinbacher (@tssteinbacher on socials), for the player face illustrations and all layout work. This was his first-ever chip design and he destroyed it. He has since done three other designs for me and they've all been excellent.

Even though the standard denominations used for years in the game were $1, $5, and $10, my original order did not include a $10 chip because I thought $10 chips were generally useless. I might ought to have thought that a game running for more than four decades ran well using $10 chips was good evidence to the contrary, but I'm stubborn. It took a few months using a $20 chip to learn my lesson, so when I ordered an add-on, I had a $10 chip made. I also added a new chip for a new regular in the game ("Methe") and a couple others for guys from a Tuesday game many of us play in who sometimes guest on Wednesdays ("Judge" and "Russ," whose chips are defaced by the graffiti of "Tuesday" on the alternate side).

I've never used the frac and probably never will, but figured since I was ordering a set, why not? So they sit in utterly mint condition in my cabinet along with the rest of the chips that are feeling very nicely worn in after a few years of play. I've got another add-on on the way with a couple of other new faces from the Tuesday game who have begun making rare appearances. Mostly I just wanted another excuse to get some more colors within the $1 chips.

SET DENOMINATIONS & BREAKDOWN:
100 x .50 - group shot 1.0 - blurple/lavender

Note: The following comments are taken from the showcase thread linked above.
This is the custom set that hooked me into this crazy Hobby. Michael Patton from HPC produced these semi custom T-molds through BCC and J5 created the art. The set pays tribute to my career as I've owned a pet boarding facility in central Indiana for the past twenty years. I couldn't have been happier with the way these turned out!

Thoughts from the committee:
Included as a Legacy nomination, the committee loved clay choices that shined on an awesome mold. Using non-traditional color choices for a tournament set can be a risk, but it really paid off for @Lucky Dog as he highlighted the wonderful spectrum of BCC color options. A fantastic set that deserved HoF consideration years ago and gets the recognition it deserves here in 2024.

Thoughts from the owner:
The goal for this set was to push the limits of CPC and design something in a new style that I had not seen prior. As a Paulson snob I knew in order for me to actually place an order for CPC chips I would need to create something that could compare in vibrancy and excitement to some of my favorite Paulson sets. This was the first set to utilize a peach $5 at the time and I wanted it to be the star of the show. Went through countless revisions, but once I landed on that peach 3TA I instantly knew it was the chip for the job. Black inlays were also never my preference, but with the Moonlight name I knew I just had to figure it out. Clean, classy, but again with some vibrancy was my goal here. Something you might see as logo for a new high end lounge. Originally was planned as "Moonlight Cardroom", but the inlay just needed a little more oomph. Took some time to figure it out, but the spade house on the moon worked perfectly and was exactly the extra bit of creative detail I was looking for. Thus solidifying the name as "Moonlight Cardhouse". Color matching took a lot of trial and error with test prints as well as constant tinkering to get the glowing effect of the moon looking just right.

The tourney side of the set was an impromptu add-on. Took some chances doing this one without a color sample in hand, but extremely happy with the end result. Goals with this set were: 4 different colors per chip, no repeats across the set, and maintaining playability without getting too messy using so many colors. Wanted to maintain the same feel of the collection with the inlay as the cash set but still easily distinguished as not the same.

Thoughts from the committee:
Both the cash set and tournament set serve as examples of what can be achieved with CPC chips at the highest level. Black inlays very well executed and help to bring out the colors in the chips. Inlays are clean, simple, yet bold. The shaped inlays work well with the set and neon color matching works perfectly within both lineups. Excellence use of the CPC color palette throughout both sets. The spot patterns and color choices work well in both sets.

Thoughts from the owner:
We have a great home game, full of chippers and donkeys who love gambling on circus games. I like to provide our group with a variety of chips to hit the felt, and when bouncing around ideas for a new set, I wanted to come up with something that could appeal to chippers as well as donkeys. I wanted colors that pop, shaped inlays, a nice spot progression, and alternate art on special edition chips to appeal to our chippers. And I wanted a funny cartoon donkey with his head tilted and tongue hanging out to pay tribute to our stable of donkeys. I started sketching out various cartoon donkeys, came up with one that made me laugh every time I looked at it, sent it to @timinater to see if he could turn it into an inlay, and just like that, the Titled Donkey was born.

We regularly play both tourneys and cash games (see https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/havana-light-poker-league.84344/) and I couldn’t decide on whether I wanted to make this set a cash set or a tournament set. Ultimately, I liked my donkey too much to only have him on one type of set so I came up with an all-purpose set (with chips from $.50 to $5000) that could handle both. That enabled me to include a hot stamp frac (thanks to @timinater designing a stamp that captured my donkey and @Josh Kifer putting his foil on my blanks). But it also created some challenges in coming up with a lineup that still included the kind of spot progression I was looking for, as I wanted the number of spots on each chip to increase as denominations increase. In the end, I was able to come up with a core lineup of eight chips, each of which I love individually but that also fit within the progression I wanted.

In previous sets, I have mixed in some Chinese New Year labels, and our players really like collecting the “rare” special edition chips from pots. I wanted to do something similar on this set, so I asked @timinater to create some special edition Grand Opening labels for the lower denomination cash chips, with the donkey wearing color matched bow ties and top hats.

I also decided to make the frac a Halloween colored chip so I could mix in some donkeys in Halloween costumes with my hot stamps. So far, I’ve released a special edition frac each year featuring my donkey in disguise (2022 wizard and witch, 2023 king and queen, and 2024 punk and pirate), all of which crack me up more than they should.

I loved the Halloween commemorative chips so much that I started adding on other holiday edition chips to feature more donkeys in disguise, including Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, April Fools’ Day, Cinco de Mayo, Pride Month, July 4, Thanksgiving and Christmas. While never intended to be part of the core set, these special edition chips have allowed to me to add a bunch of funny donkeys in dress up while also enabling me to bring to life other cool chips that wouldn’t otherwise fit into the spot progression limitations of the set’s core lineup. And I hear these chips work great as card cappers…..

Thoughts from the committee:
Spot progression is really well done creating a strong lineup from top to bottom. Really like the drawing of the donkey, and appreciate the different inlays on holiday and special edition chips making this a fun set.

Thoughts from the Owner
Even before joining the forum, I knew I wanted to create a custom set of chips. My buddies and I had a game going for many years, and we always used crappy dice chips. I was the only one who felt like we could do better, so I set on a search for custom chips, not knowing what was even out there. I found several sites offering just printing on dice chips, but I knew there must be something better. That's when I stumbled on PCF, and eventually, CPC. There it was! I didn't know exactly what I was looking for at the time, but PCF and CPC was certainly it!

I quickly learned, samples were king! So I began with color samples from CPC. When they arrived, I KNEW the dayglo pink, dayglo yellow, and lavender had to be a chip - those 3 colors look INSANE together. I was still a newbie, and I saw many many sets going for the green-black-purple-yellow-orange progression of tourney chips, so it looked like my T500 (purple) was already set! The rest of the chips took me a long, long time. Many months of playing with the designer tool and many, many iterations brought me to what you see here. I ultimately took inspiration from some of my favorite sets at the time (ie T25 and T5k from ESPT), as well as some ideas I knew I wanted from the start (ie the 3-tone gradient in the T1K). Although some of my tastes have changed since this set, I still get a tingly feeling whenever I open the case and look at these.

Now for the mold. At first, I liked the look of the small crown and circle-square the best, but I knew I had to get them in my hand. The mold samples from CPC didn't do anything for me, and I knew I had to get an INLAID shuffle stack of each mold. I reached out to David and he put together 10 inlaid chips of each mold for me to play with. After many hours of shuffling, jockey felt the absolute best. I HATED jockey before I started, but it really, really grew on me, especially after shuffling them! Now it is easily my favorite mold.

As for inlay design, the story is quite simple. My son (first baby) was born as I was learning the poker chip ropes and playing with my color samples. The first time I ever saw him smile was when he was watching a video of some heron/stork stype of bird. Every time I played him that video, his face LIT up. And there it was, not only the main design element of the chip (the stork bird), but also the name of the set itself (Van is my son's name, as well as an ancient Armenian township - a nod at my family heritage). I reached out to the incredible @Johnny5 and he did such an awesome job!

My favorite element is the color-matching of the spots on the bird with the base and spot colors of each chip. It's subtle but it makes me so happy inside haha! Another design note: both sides of each chip are actually different - they are mirror images of each other! And one last note: Van is pronounced "vawn" :D

Anyway, I can spend all day writing my thoughts of each chip, the colors, the iterations, my experience with the inlaid mold samples, etc. I'll just leave it at that though. I know you all know exactly what goes into this hobby and designing a set haha. I am so glad I found this forum! This set is now a family heirloom!

Set Denominations and Breakdown:
T25 - Light Green (Green + Dayglo Peach)
T100 - Black (Dayglo Arc Yellow + Light Blue)
T500 - Lavender (Dayglo Yellow + Dayglo Pink)
T1000 - Canary (Dayglo Green + Green + Dark Green)
T5000 - Dayglo Tiger (Dayglo Peacock + Dark Blue)
T25000 - Imperial Blue (Daylgo Peach + Bright White)
"Bonus Chip" (bounty, rebuy, etc) - Bright white (Dayglo Tiger + Canary + Dayglo Peacock)

Thoughts from the committee:
This set delivers a stellar inlay with a clean and crisp presentation, smart color matching and font choices, and a bold denom. Taking a risk with the lesser used Jockey Mold really paid off here. With a couple standout chips and a strong inlay, @pipdenny delivered a fun and cohesive set.

Did I miss the stump thread this year?

Anywho, none of the photos work except for Jeep's.

Stump thread was up earlier this year - https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/2024-hall-of-fame-stump-thread.116645/

Bear with us while we look into the picture issue. Please hold off on voting until we get this resolved. Apologies. I am seeing all of them on my end

UPDATE: Pictures should all be working now. Please let me know if any issues. Now get your votes in! And let PCF know voting is now open!

Going to be a difficult year separating the people and the chips, some forum stalwarts listed this year.

Also while we say it every year, pretty great class. Voting for far more than I ever have previously, by 2x.

Shoutout to whoever took the time to pull together the mango casa write up. It’s great to see the chips getting a well deserved write up despite eloe being offline.

Well, considering Casa Mangos are what pulled me to this site and inspired my own custom journey..

Same - I think they were the first stand out ridiculously well designed and cohesive ‘non-chesterfield’ set I seen on PCF (then ended up going through every recent annual competition, unreal when you start looking at all the creativity). I think the overall presentation and having professional level photography / lighting skills certainly make a difference as well when comparing sets. Having said that… for just the pure chip design, there is another I prefer.

A couple in this HOF I hadn’t seen before.

All subjective and great stuff!

A lot of great chip set this year. Congratulations to this years nominees. I voted for three sets and it was a relatively easy choice for me. Those Lucky Dogs have been one of my favorites for a very long time.

Might be a stupid question. But is voting open to everyone? If so, how does one cast a vote? Really really digging those moonlight cardhouse colors!

Voting is open to members with whose account has been open for at least 30 days and have at least 30 posts to help ensure the integrity of the vote. Looks like it should open up for you in a few days unless it was from when the thread was created. @Tommy - do you know the answer to this?

Voted, thanks for the thread @MarquetteMonkey - lots of beautiful sets.

It's hard not to put the BCC Lucky Dog set in there for me. Perhaps it's an unfair "advantage" given the available colors but that set just looks so classic (and I'm not even a big fan of the inlays themselves, more of a cat person myself :)

Good luck to all of the nominees!

Same feeling. But as a dog and cat person ahah.
Everything is spot on with this set imho.
