Oiled Empress $25 (2 Viewers)

So has anyone ever had this happen ? My first time Oiling Empress Chips just some $25s I bought

This makes me a sad camper lol I am hoping it will air out and it will come back white I only did a qtip around the edges it must have leaked through wild stuff makes me wish I didnt oil them now

I kinda like it. They look a bit vintage now. I’m not sure they’ll return to white though sorry to say.

I dont think the ones that are crazy brown now were perfectly white to begin with but may have had a tad of brown on the inlay and it just spread

The only time I've seen it like that was with Nevada Club $1 TRKs and those chips were some of the earliest TRKs and it was before they figured out how to create a proper seal for the labels but based on the link provided by @btbmason it seems the same issue exists for certain older, shaped inlay THCs.

Paper inlays absorb oil, too much oil or standing oil will get absorbed… happened to me on the 1st barrel of 5s I had

Yeah I wish I wouldnt have been more Careful about 10 out of 60 got it and about 3 are really bad
