Old Vegas Tribute Set (1 Viewer)

Several members have. Since usually the casino has its own clay mold, we refer to them as “house mold sets”

Yes, started buiding back in 2007. Everyone was getting into mixed sets back then, but I wanted to create something different. My theme was vegas strip casinos that were around pre 1970. No relabeled crap. I've cheated using golden gate quarters. And I've built sets off of all those casinos. One of these days I'll get some pics up

Has anyone done it as part of a group buy?
Are you just trying to do something “first” or do you have something going on?

Has anyone ever done a mixed casino set while wearing an argyle sweater and drinking a frappachino with their left hand and driving a 1975 Ford Pinto that’s been converted to electric power and painted red?

These are all real chips. No group buys available. The community frowns on fake Chinese chips that look similar.

Members have either gone into the casino and bought the chips from the cage, or traded and bought for them here on PCF eBay etc. Some of us have even built racks going single by single.

Vegas casinos are now required to destroy them so they usually go for face value or more. A few casinos in the 70s 80s and 90s chip’s found a way to make it out bc I believe the law of them being destroyed was implemented around 2000?

I’m not being snarky, it’s a dumb question especially if that’s the thought process around Tina ceramics.
The world is your oyster. Mix and match casinos, molds, manufacturers and even materials. People have done all these things with results that sometimes they loved and sometimes it was just weird.
You do you. It may not be to everyone’s liking, but who cares as long as you like it.

As it is noted in several threads - one today even - your players most likely won’t care what’s on the chips nor where they are made, or even if they all “match”.
Very few people here will care what your Tina chips look like even. They may make polite noises or even impolite ones, but they really don’t care.
Be free! Throw caution and our opinions to the wind and live like a true chipper in the wild.

Someone comes onto PCF for the first time and this is how you interact lol

Ask dumb questions, get dumb prizes. No matter how new they are. Not sure I even follow what you are trying to say. Didn’t even look at their name, much less how long they have been here.

You’re right. You’re not being snarky.

You’re being an asshole.

I was just curious if there had been a group buy with $1 Binions, $5 Dunes, etc that had ever happened? Kinda like golf courses that are based upon great holes from around the world.

I know that many individual casino sets have been made, such as this months Binions buy. It is more a matter of curiosity as to whether anyone had crossed over casino tributes.
