Not Mine Olivia's fracs (1 Viewer)

Hard house is usually pretty spot on with his pricing. You rarely see Olivas fracs for sale.

I have no clue what's appropriate when it comes to prices for Olivia's, and the seller's price may well be accurate. If I was the buyer, though, I'd have to chuckle at myself at least little for picking up a cash substitute that was once worth less than a dollar in exchange for nearly 14 of them. I can't say it's crazy...the gap between what I paid for my nickle customs vs. the price per chip is even more wide, relatively speaking...but a bit comical nonetheless.

Lol hard house has bought full sets before just to get fracs from the set to fill a rack for his collection. Have you seen his frac collection on CT? It's awesome.

I've never even heard of Hard House before. I started chipping on CT about a year ago but it didn't take too long before PCF became my primary chip board. Anywho, he sounds like quite a collector. I'll have to look up pics of his chips sometime.

Hardhouse is a great guy. Met once and liked him a lot.

Agreed. I wouldn't count on getting the deal of a lifetime from Hard House, but I also wouldn't worry that his pricing is unreasonably far from the the fair market value of the chips. And if there's any set that has kept it's value, the Olivia's are up there with the most resilient over the long term.

Yeah Hard House definitely does not shy from paying top dollar for the chips he wants. I think he gets tripped up sometimes by making a market on hard to find chips and then they lose a lot of their resale value when he is no longer a buyer in the market.

I paid $2500 for a rack of Olivia $25's. Sometimes you gotta do whatcha gotta do when there are no other options.

The price is high'ish, but its a snap buy for any Olivia collector who needs fitties. Call it a "never gonna see it again for a year+" fee or whatever, but you're not really going to find Olivia owners trying to bark down the price of this quantity.

Here is my last set I sold that I was keeping for myself, found some pr0n on my old PC. Sold them to Snuffy on ChipTalk, for $3/chip if I remember correctly.

Ah, the good old days.....

BiGGyT

and no, I don't have any more.

I know I'm in the minority, but when I see those Olivia's, I can't help but feel like:

Stunning in stacks though!

Right there with ya. Great looking chips, too bad they chose to cover 'em up with a way-too-large and not-particularly-attractive inlay.

I totally get it. My interest in Olivia's is that a little over 12 years ago my first child (Olivia) was born. When Matthew from CT came over to my house shortly after her birth, he gave me an Olivia $2 chip as a present. Little did he know that he was giving me a "try before you buy" crack hit. A Brazillion dollars later I had nearly 3000 of them, and I most definitely bought at peak prices. I LOVE those chips in stacks and yes, with a different inlay they could have been off the richter. Even I can concede on that argument.

That's pretty damn cool!
