Does such a thing exist?
I used to play almost every day with friends and online many years back. However, that group of friends slowly grew apart as we got older and I fell away from the game.
Fast forward 10 years and I've just caught the bug again. Probably because I can now afford to play the game without having to explain to the wife why we're eating beans on toast this week.
I've played a couple of home games and reset my PokerStars login details and begun to play again. I don't know if the game has moved on, or I'm just rusty, but it doesn't seem as simple as it once was.
Simple SNG tournaments which used to always guarantee a seat in the money seem harder to play. I'm putting this down to being out of the game so long and a little rusty, mainly, but have people become wiser to the theory rather than just playing? I'm not too proud to admit that perhaps I need to go back to basics and do a bit of reading so, along with signing up to this forum, I've bought a few books to read, but I learn best when I'm doing.
So, that leads me onto my question. Does such a thing as online tutelage exist? For example, I share my screen with someone, play an hour of online poker whilst live talking to someone who knows the game and watches me?
When I was younger we'd have a couple of really good players in the group who were always helping us as they took our money in home tournaments and that's how we learnt, but now I don't really have that, so wondering if there's anything similar online that could help? I just find myself wanting to talk about poker all the time but cannot find anyone else to listen.
Thanks in advance,
Adam
