Grabbed a few 1s from a local casino to see how relabelling would go if I wanted to try it. They do have an absurdly large inlay.

After removing the inlay it seems there is almost two different reccesses one in a "normal" position and then the second that actually pushes down 1/2 of the hat on the RHC mold.

I guess its just the normal "Giant" size (1-3/8") as listed below since that is what I measure it closesest to?

I assume it would feel and look terrible if i go with a smaller inlay size? I don't really like an inlay so large and I would need to find a few different chips with the oversized recess so if not I may scrap this idea.

Don't mind the dirty chip it wasn't cleaned as it was mostly just a test.

That "second recess" that violates the debossed thc mold images is created during compression as the inlay/laminate is pressed into the chip and displaces the softer clay material.

It's also why giant inlay clay chips look like crap when either relabeled or overlabeled.

Filling the entire cavity results in part of the debossed images being covered up, while using a smaller label leaves the larger void circumference exposed. And using just overlabels will either create spinners or leave part of the original inlay exposed.

Of all the different types of chip variations ever pioneered by Paulson, their introduction of giant inlays was the worst idea ever.

Aw, there are plenty of house molds better than the RHC mold. Probably the majority of them, actually.
I think he's referring to the PAULSON CHIPS advertising mold. Adding an slick oversize inlay would make it even worse, as it would cover up much of the existing base and spot material. Same if added to a casino-specific house mold.

Awesome thanks for the info everyone only cost me a buck for the learning experience lol

What about cutting around the inner perimeter ring and then removing that center part of the inlay? How would that look?
