Palms (Las Vegas, NV - 2006) $1 Four Chip B&G Sample Set (Jack, Queen, King, Ace)

About the chips:
Up for auction is a nice four chip sample set of Palms $1 B&G ceramics with the heavily textured faces. The chips are in excellent condition, and have images of a Jack, a Queen, a King, and an Ace on the faces.

This is a cool little sample set to add to your display case!

Please look at all the photos carefully, and zoom in to judge condition for yourself BEFORE bidding!

PLEASE READ
  • Dealer button and racks are not included in the auction.
  • THESE CHIPS ARE NOT PERFECT. I do my best to photograph any and all imperfections. PLEASE EXAMINE ALL PHOTOS CAREFULLY PRIOR TO BIDDING.
  • I will ship to U.S. ADDRESSES ONLY.
  • If you win multiple auctions, I will be happy to combine shipping in the most economical way that still ensures safe delivery.
  • I ship with USPS flat rate packaging, which includes $100 insurance.
  • If you’d like to add insurance for the entire amount of your purchase, “signature required”, and/or any other USPS options, let me know, and I’ll get you a quote.
  • Please don’t bid if you can’t pay. If payment isn’t made within seven days of winning the auction, I will either offer the item to the next highest bidder, or put the item back in the safe.
  • BIDS FROM MEMBERS WHO HAVE WON PAST AUCTIONS AND NOT PAID WILL BE IGNORED.
  • It is my intent to give all my buyers positive feedback. Because of the “5 feedbacks / 24 hour” rule and the “1 feedback per user per 5? hours” rule I sometimes fall behind. If you win an auction and I fail to give you positive feedback, please remind me!
Thanks in advance for your bids!

To me, weight-wise, I think they’re very similar to identical, but I’ll try to remember to put them on the scale later to compare them to my minty Hard Rock (Albuquerque) chips.

Feel-of-the-chip-faces-wise, the faces of these B&G chips are heavily textured, unlike *most* ChipCo chips. However, there are some ChipCo chips, like Palace Casino (Aruba - photos from our friends at ChipGuide below) that have heavily textured faces, too. I’ll also try to remember to take some close-ups of the B&G Palms to better show this later, but if I forget, please remind me!

How close do these feel to chipcos?
OK, following are photos of:
  • The B&G Palms $1 chips in this auction
  • ChipCo standard texture face Hard Rock (Albuquerque) $5 chips
  • ChipCo heavily textured face Palms Casino (Aruba) $20 chips
It’s difficult to capture the texture of the surface of the Hard Rock $5s because, even though they’re in new condition, the surface is fairly smooth (I think most people are familiar with the feel of a new “regular” ChipCo). Much of the “graininess” you see on the surface of the Hard Rocks is actually the graininess of the printing. On the other hand, it’s relatively easy to see the texture on the faces of the B&G Palms $1s and ChipCo Palm Casino $20s.

There are slight differences in weight, but they’re all roughly in the 10 gram/chip range.

Hope this helps. Haha… now that I look at the photos, these chips look rather good together, and would make a decent looking mixed set.
