Hi everyone. My name is Brian, and I am new to this forum. I am a poker enthusiast, especially when it comes to chips. I enjoy reading all the different topics of conversation on here.

I have a question for the members and anyone else who may know the answer...

I have a set of Paulson Casino de Isthmus chips (1400+ chip set of 1's, 5's, 25's, and 100's). I was wondering... I've seen Paulsons on eBay being listed for about $2.50 per chip... Is this an accurate measure of their worth, or is it an overinflated price which could not be met?

P.S. - here's a photo of the set pictured below

For that particular line $2 a chip on eBay is the current rate and it will sell quick. Some other home lines are going for more such as the top hat and cane chips.

Oh wow, that's great to know!!! Thank you Derek, I appreciate the info. This is a great set too. I'll miss these chips, but would be happy to see them go to a fellow poker player.

It also depends on condition of the chips. I've seen mint or near mint James Bond chips go for $260 a rack.

$2.60 per chip? That's pretty sporty!!

The chips are used but still in great condition. No wear on them and still look sharp, and crisp!

Yes. It's up to you whether you want to sell the entire set to one person or break up the set to sell by the rack. Although shipping maybe a hassle. That's why some sellers refuse to break the set.

With the breakdown of my set (197 $1s, 1016 $5s, 96 $25s, and 101 $100s), I guess I could go either way with it... It would be simpler to sell it off as one set... But who knows? The other way may work too...

Bear in mind, you might get a higher price selling per rack vs. selling the set as a whole, but you may not be able to sell all of the racks at that price point.... consider how much effort you want to put into the sale for slight incremental value.

Welcome to PCF.

I think you already have great answers to your questions, so ill just through this out there, put together a set maybe like 100 $1's 100 $5's, 40 $20's and 10 $100's and sell the rest as racks or put together 2 sets like that and sell the rest in racks, or 197 $1's 200 $5's 80 $25's and so on..

You have many options, I can see you selling a set of 600 then selling racks would be the best, in my opinion..

Good luck..

I was now lucky to find a few stray sample chips on eBay that I can add to the set to make it a complete full racked set now of 200 blue $1 chips, 1000 red $5 chips, 100 $25 green chips, and 100 $100 black chips so it's a set of 1400 chips now
