You should be able to upload images and also insert them via link too. I will check the settings again.

I found the problem. You are the first member to max out the default upload attachment space. LOL! Congrats! I just doubled the allowed space so you should be fine now.

I maxed out the 5mb a long time ago and somehow had 10mb of attachments stored so it wouldn't let me upload anymore. I couldn't figure out how to delete them until a week or so ago so I went and deleted 6 mb of my attachments.
