Hi guys I am new to these forums. I am interested in a set of Paulson Classic Chips. The set would be a cash game with blinds being $1-$2. How much should I expect the price of these chips to be? Price per chip is preferable but if we are talking about a set then I was thinking $1-200 chips, $5-200, $25-60, $100-40. Thanks for any input as I am new to poker chips. I have attached a picture of the chips for clarification.

Is there a certain reason you’re looking to buy them over other types of chips?

There’s nothing wrong with classics but while they’re popular with the “public” and still have their special place with chip fanatics on here, most members on here would suggest other options that cost less.

Thank you for the reply. There is no specific reason for the classics other than I appreciate the look and color patterns. I really am not dead set on any specific set of chips at this time though.

They're $3-4 per chip on eBay, but if you're patient you can find them under that.
Thank you for the reply and information.

I do think it's possible to find these for $2-$3/chip eventually but I would highly suggest waiting a few weeks / months and see what sets become available in the Classifieds. While the Classics are nice looking I personally think you'll find nicer looking sets for just as much money and maybe for less.

Is the high denoms or low denoms most sought after? Or are they pretty much the same?

yeah the high denoms have the more colorful color palette so I think there is more demand as a tourney set. The cash denoms are a bit blah in my opinion.

I do agree that the high denoms are nicer but I do not play tournaments at all. Otherwise I would definitely go after the higher denominations.

Also keep an eye out for CDI (casino de isthmus) ‘05 chips. They are the same chipset with a different inlay design. They sell for about the same price but many people prefer this inlay design. It would also just widen your options.

I concur with this. If you must have Paulson mold chips, the CDI2005 look nicer and there are some fairly good deals going on for them right now.

I have a set of 500 Paulson Classic chips I might be willing to let go.
200 - $5
200 - $25
100 - $100
