They were listed on CT, but had a bit of discussion here too: http://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/mint-paulson-grand-card-room-silver-foil.9369/

The whole set was first offered on CT by the original owner, who quickly ended up selling to a local friend for $1500. Then that person put most of them for sale on CT asking for offers, but now apparently decided to sell half the chips on eBay for the price that he paid for the whole lot. :D

So these run w/ almost 3 buck per chip now? Phewww....

So much for answering PMs

Yup. Paulson chips are going at a premium, but people are willing to pay it. I suspect this guy never had any intention of selling parts of the set on CT...he simply asked for offers to determine market value, then posted the chips he doesn't want to eBay.

Even though the seller is clear in the description, it's somewhat irritating that the picture used in the listing is of the full set he bought, not just the half for sale. At the very least, given that the picture is inaccurate, it would be nice if the title was more clear (perhaps with a chip count). Just my $0.02.

I have seen this before. If you look close the stacks are only 10 high which gives the appearance of a much larger set.

It is a bit of cheesy window dressing.
Put up what your selling. Esp as btax said. Put the qty in the title at least.

Simply gorgeous though.

If this is what Paulson's are worth these days....
...going back to working on more customs.

Not that I need to, but hey, it's what we do.

I would love these...at the price he paid. But not touching at this price.

I do love the silver foil.

I don't get it. Everyone knows what he paid and now he is gouging. Not in the same spirit as they were sold to him for. Fool!

This seller still has these up for sale on the other site. He still lists the whole set which he said he purchased from Mark. Here was his latest post on CT.

I'm still very open to offers on this site. It's my preferred method, but I haven't received any real offers. Everything has been significantly below what I paid for the chips. :) All 1000 chips might be gifted to a guy who hosts our game if we get 10 guys in the group to give him a New Years Gift!

He's full of bs. I offered him more than what he paid for each chip via PM. It just wasn't the 300 chip minimum.

Now now, his chips so he can do with them as he likes. Never you mind what he paid, not your concern. It's just business. :sneaky:
