Looks like a nice set. Does anyone agree with the description?
"I would consider these chips as "newly broken-in". In my opinion, slightly broken-in chips are more enjoyable to shuffle and use because they do not have such a sharp square edge on the chip. Slightly broken-in chips also have a more pleasing texture to them while maintaining the vibrant colors of a new chip."
Yes, that's not entirely ridiculous. Super-crispy-mint chips can be hard to shuffle, and verrrrrrry slightly used chips do handle and feel better than chalky new.
At my request the seller added some better closeups of the $1s and $5s to see their condition. To me the $1s look the most used. Edges are a drop rounded and some flea bites on the edges of some. $5s look a little crisper. I'd love to get the $1s and some of the $5s (and in fact would consider trading WTH&C $1s and $5s for the corresponding PCRs) if someone here buys the whole lot. It's a lot of chips for sale, but anywhere around $1.20/chip or less is probably a good deal. Of course, with the nuttiness on eBay these days, the set will probably go for $2500 or more.
my plan was to grab the set, keep a big chunk of the 5's which are never available in that large of a bulk, then resell the set with all the 1's, some 5's all the 25's, keep the hundos and 500's to add to my 700 chip set.
would have been perfect but i was too cheap.......$2 each is still a bargain for these, i gotta stop being a friggin chip nit
Is $2/chip really a bargain? I bought about 240 brand new $1s from Josh at Apache less than 5 months ago for $308. From the pictures the $1s looked well worn with both flea bites and somewhat rounded edges. $5s also looked a little worn. I think the price was high given the condition, but what the heck do I know?

the 5's were the price driver in this set, i have not seen those in bulk come available in quite some time, i know Josh still has the yellow 1000 at $1 each but i think you will find it difficult find any of these as plentiful as they were 6 months to a year ago.....i still have my 700 chip set, i should have pulled the trigger here but im an idiot chip nit....
edit: forgot to add that i think maybe most with a PCR set looking to add would pay $2 for certain denoms maybe more than someone just looking for a new set, i dont know but sometimes if you want something and you know its not available often, just pay the price and forget about it....
here are a few eBay sold sets, (sort of self serving so i know where i can find the past 3 sales of these)
