I have the following Paulson Private Card Room chips for sale.

The chips were puchased brand new from Apache in late 2006. The 1's & 5's have never seen the felt. The 25's were used in only 2 games. See pic's below for condition.

$200 shipped per rack for the 25's. Not breaking the racks...sorry.

$40 shipped for the barrel of 5's.

Prices include shipping in the CONUS only. PayPal F/F only. Plastic racks not included.

Please post dibs in this thread first, then PM. Thanks!

1's & 5's are SOLD. Still have 2 racks of 25's for sale. $200 shipped for each rack. $385 shipped if you buy both. Thanks for looking!

Noooo, selling your PCRs? They are gorgeous chips. GLWS.

Thanks. Just doing a bit of trimming. Still have a (partial) STT set...not planning on selling that anytime soon. These were my first set of new Paulsons! Love 'em.

@Gear would these have to be milled to add a label?

EDIT: Hold me a spot on 1 rack of 25's until I know if I would have to mill them to add a label.

I'm not @Gear [obviously], but from what I understand, I don't see any reason (technical or otherwise) why he wouldn't be able to mill these and add a label.

Sure, I'll hold a rack for you. I just tried putting a 7/8 laminated Gear sample label over one of the hot stamps. It created a spinner. I know to get good adhesion, I would recommend at the very least scraping the hot stamp. The recess is very shallow. I'm sure @Gear would advise the thinnest label (non-laminated) if you go that route, but I'll let him chime in.

Here is a couple shots of a laminated Gear label applied over the stamp.

Generally speaking, putting labels over hotstamps is the biggest dilemma in labelling chips. The problem is that in most cases, in order for a label to be thick enough to adequately hide the ridges and lumps of a hotstamp, it ends up being too thick for the depth available in the inlay recess. In other words, either you get a lumpy looking label, or you get stacking and handling problems (e.g. spinners) because the label is the high point on the face of the chip.

As @duffman said, there are also adhesion concerns since the label is only stuck to the high points of the hotstamp

The solution is to make sure the hotstamp is smooth. That can be accomplished by manual scraping, which is extremely tedious and time-consuming, or by milling to remove it entirely, which also allows you to add a little bit of depth if needed in order to accommodate a laminated label.

I don't recommend putting labels directly over hotstamps, and I also don't recommend putting laminated labels directly over existing inlays (for thickness reasons.) I would definitely recommend milling these chips if you wanted to relabel them.

Hope that helps!
