Cash. I agree that I wouldn't necessarily need the 10s, $500 or $1000 depending on the game. I want to have the range of chips in my set. Could probably get away with 10-20 of the $500 and $1,000.

It really depends on quality of chip, number of chips you'd have, etc.
It would be a case by case basis.
