Holy f'n price! Doesn't Josh still have these at "reasonable" prices?
Edit: wow. Guess he doesn't. "F" real estate. The money is in driving a hummer around with your face plastered all over it saying "I'll buy your chips for cash"
Totally crazy. I sold two 500 chip CDI sets about 3 months ago for between $1.50-$1.80/chip. Someone else on PCF also sold a CDI set around two months ago for around $1.50/set. I doubt the seller will get anywhere near the asking price, but I have been wrong many times before. I always thought the CDIs were the like the red-headed stepchild of Paulson home chips.
Casino De Isthmus on the Paulson mold going for $2.50 per. Dumb as hell. Yeah yeah, market driven prices, etc. If someone really believes these prices are here to stay, I'd love to negotiate a cross-book for the price points 24 months from now.
I'm not in the market for Paulson's right now, but if I were, this set would be pretty high on my list. I like these chips a lot. Unless Paulson makes the decision to sell to the public again, I don't really see these going down in value.
Probably won't get the asking price, and they probably don't expect to (hence the best offer option).
I bought and sold about 1000 of these (new or mint) last year in the $1.5 - $1.6 range.
maybe $2/chip.. but who knows.. at $$2.5 - $3/chip I would be looking at casino chips.
The Classics seem to get high prices these days.
My preference for this color scheme home market Paulson
Pharaohs - awesome inlays
Isthmus - inlay is too small for what is basically an RHC mold
Classic - fugly inlays
Not sure why the "newer" CDI are demanding a high premium, like apples and tofu the difference between these and the original home version in my opinion. The problem I see with this set is not enough $5s.

I was happy to get a good bankroll going after selling my cdi's last month.
The home series chips are getting more hype than a lot of casino chips. I'd trade these for 2nd edition trops any day of the week. Which is what I did with some of my cdi booty.
Crazy when you think about it. There is absolutely no chance of more obs casino chips being made but you can't say that about the home series Paulson's.
