My interest in poker chips is new so I don't have any background. However, in my research thus far I see a company called Apache chips that is selling your Pharaoh chips at 42 cents each. I'm interested in your set but I don't understand your pricing since it seems to be about what I would pay for a new set at Apache. Is you price firm or .....?

Also, I recently acquired about 120 pieces of $5.00 Paulson chips that were for the Empress Casino in Joliet, Ill. Not sure if this is what you were seeking as trade material. Most are very well used.

um, 500 chips at .42/each would be $210. mike is listing these at $180. that's about 85% of the apache price (i.e., $30 lower price for this set).

I will have to take photos and get back to you. A lot of them have faded color so I've been experimenting on them. After I cleaned them all in an ultrasonic cleaner I have tried some automotive grade wet/dry sandpaper to smooth out a few and also used a buffing wheel and some automotive glaze and polish. Seems to bring back a bit of color but I only did a few. I'll take a picture of how there are presently. I also have some single chips, mostly Paulson that I bought with the lot. I'll take photos of those as well as they are available too.

Sorry Mike but I'm looking to buy a set to use. I'm not really a collector (yet). My main collecting is cigarette lighters although I have a bunch of other collectibles. Of lighters, I have thousands. So, if your poker dudes like to smoke cigarettes, cigars, or doobies, I am the man to see. Table or pocket lighters; high-end or novelty, Zippo, Dupont, Cartier, Ronson, Scripto, even 19th century lighters, I can supply. But chips, I just have the ones I already mentioned. Some of the guys I play with have purchased some to use as card protectors as well as to use. You can always check eBay for collectible lighters and if you see anything intriguing, I probably have something identical or like it to trade.

By the way, commentator FCCDAD has been very helpful. I'm starting to lean towards waiting for the right Paulson set so I don't have to upgrade from your offering but if I can get yours for the right deal, I'm sure one of my playing buddies could be persuaded to take them from me when I upgrade.

All I know is the CC Pharaohs are a great entry set for anyone looking to buy a set that has that Paulson feel but for a much lower cost. I loved this set while I owned it and the chips help up great with plenty of use. In all honesty a solid set for the price. Take that home game to the next level with these chips. Amazing feel. Great distinctive colour. Pure clay chip sound. Anyone interested shouldn’t be hesitant pulling the trigger on this purchase.
