looking to try plaques for our cash game. Any denomination beginning with 1. So, $100, $1,000, $10,000, etc., etc. Or perhaps $200, $2,000, etc.

I'm tempted by the Casino Royale $1,000,000 at Apache, but thought I'd see what else is out there.

I don't need many.

Let me know what you have and want. Thanks

Ceramic plaques are cheaper, but acrylic plaques are so much more durable...case in point:

I just don't like to have to handle them with special care. I like to be able to throw them in the pot and hear that "special" sound of the acrylic plaques!

I have over 60 of those formal ceramic plaques, and not a single one is chipped. And anybody throwing one into a pot of high-end clay chips is likely to have their arm broken.

I concur. I've owned 100 ceramic plaques and never had a single issue with them

As you have probably guessed, I am NOT a poker player (I know that is blasphemy on this site, but please forgive me)! I indulge in the raucous and sometimes quite physical game of craps! Throwing money, cheques and plaques across a14 foot table to place a bet are quite common! There is nothing like the excitement and action that can be generated on a "HOT" craps table. I have many a fond memory of my group playing well into the night and being physically tired when we part.

Then again, my more refined side turns to the game of Baccarat, where raucous behavior would have you drawn and quartered (a broken arm would seem like a Sunday picnic...LOL)! More refined and dignified, with formal dress, requiring a level of cool and calm that is rarely seen in other games of chance. I get great pleasure from both of these games...just in a much different way.

As far as my posts on the plaques, I am of the understanding that this forum is a forum for mostly opinions (and SOME indisputable facts) and that is what I was expressing...OPINION. Everyone here has their own likes and dislikes and personal bias which is why I love this group. I can only express what I have personally experienced. Didn't mean to ruffle any feathers!

Play on, but above all, HAVE FUN!

I happen to have some red high-end acrylic plaques (glossy) made by Matsui. $5000 denomination only, 25 plaques total. See pic below. Let me know if you're interested :)
