Anyone noticed over the years that some playing card types are kinda picky with surfaces?

I use a custom microfiber cloth for my table and for the longest time used Modiano Platinums.

As I experimented with more and more cards I noticed that while everyone pretty much liked Speedcloth, certain types of cards like Desjgn an the WSOP Copags didnt glide at all when pitched on to microfiber. The dealer had to compensate for a hand or two to pitch em just right. Usually she had to pitch em well forward instead of pitching short and letting em glide.

Anyone have a list of cards that behave similarly?

Yep, definitely. I found Faded Spade almost stuck to my felt, but standard Copags glided easiest. I think you’d get used to it if you don’t change up too much in the night.
