Been playing a lot of .20/.40 PLO online. I consider it a good practice and a good way to get in some volume as I learn the game. Still have a lot to learn and looking for advice, so there are going to be a few posts here of big hands I played.

.20/.40 PLO Online (6max)
$41.71 effective with main V, we cover - I don't have notes on this V...but almost every player at every table at these stakes has 50%+ VPIP

I'm going to play this out till the turn for this hand, since that's where I think things get interesting.

Hero is UTG :kc::3s::kd::qd: and opens POT

This is probably a light open, but KKQ with a suit is pretty far ahead of the ranges these guys are playing.

V calls from BB (rare to only get one caller!)

Flop :ad::jh::4d: - Hero is UTG :kc::3s::kd::qd: - Pot 3
BB check
Hero cbet 2
V call

I think this is a pretty standard cbet with KK, NFD, and a Gutshot to the nut straight - sizing is okay?

Turn :ad::jh::4d::ks: - Hero is UTG :kc::3s::kd::qd: - Pot 7
BB donk 7
Hero ??

Flat. Not folding second set with the NFD and a gutshot (though the gutshot is probably for a split now), but reopening the action would be silly. Lots of outs, but still not a favorite against the probable QT.

with a set and the boot flush draw I'm raising here. Close to a pot bet

This for sure.

Looks like 16 clean outs (don't want to see an A on the river). That puts us at ~32%. I'm liking the flat for the reasons Jim stated. Wouldn't want to pot it only to have it repotted.

Thanks for the feedback all, gonna leave it a little bit longer before continuing with the rest of the hand!

SPR is a little over 5 after the flop. Once villain bets pot, if we call, SPR is about 1. Call seems right.

If we pot now, we don't have much left, SPR<1.

I don't think our equity or fold equity is good enough now that we should be potting it. I suppose villain could be faking the QT...

Easy. Quick shot of Tequila or Rum whichever is closest. Then call and smash the river.

Okay I'm impatient...

Hero decides on a flat, pretty much what Jim said I'm not overly worried about QT here holding the set plus NFD.

SPR is low enough that we can get most if not all the money in on the river given a good card.

Flop :ad::jh::4d: - Hero is UTG :kc::3s::kd::qd: - Pot 3
BB check
Hero cbet 2
V call

Turn :ad::jh::4d::ks: - Hero is UTG :kc::3s::kd::qd: - Pot 7
BB donk 7
Hero call

River :ad::jh::4d::ks::ac: pot 21
BB continues pot leaving 11.71 behind
Hero is UTG :kc::3s::kd::qd:

Action?

So villain check-calls flop, and donks the turn, and then pots river? He wouldn't do this with AJ, A4, or even bottom set given the king turn. I'd just call and expect to see the turned Broadway straight. If he managed to spike somehow an AKxx hand against you for the overfull, then that's just barftastic.

Call all day. If you raise he probably doesn’t call with the straight and will only continue with Aces Full.

Run-out is not fortunate...

Hero calls and his 95%ish equity on the turn couldn't hold. BB turns over naked AKxx

Seems I played the hand okay, c'est la vie.
