I am looking to finish my sample set of PNYs (although I have not received this yet) and need the 2 different $1000s chips. I wanted to know what a fair price for each chip was as I am totally clueless.

It's been several years since I've been in the market (or paying attention to prices) but I paid between $15 and $30 for mine, depending on primary/secondary and quantity.

This was probably true 2-3 years ago. However, there really has been that many on the open market since then (and the general increase for Paulsons overall)
I'm not sure what the current market value for them is, but this would be a pretty good starting point.
 
I've picked up about a barrel's worth over the past year, averaged ~$25 per chip in groups of 5-10 chips. The challenge is actually finding them. Sold individually on eBay they'll go for $25-$40+, especially the primary unless you get lucky and the item description is poor :D
 
hmm - crazy amounts for single chips! How many of them were actually produced?

I need 1 primary and 1 secondary. Once I have the samples and I like them as much as I think I will then I might pursue a small heads up set of PNYs.
