It has been quite a while since I have seen anything about Point Defiance Chips!!! Just kind of curious. Does anyone have a set that they have put in to play? I have been sitting on several hundred chips that are collecting dust because I am nowhere near having a playable set. I was able to get a barrel of 100's but have yet to hold a $25 chip in my hands. I really hate to see all these chips just sitting in a drawer not seeing any play or love. I gave them a quick cleaning and they look great. Many of you know sometimes its not easy completing sets but also worth the wait sometimes.

Someone make me jealous and show some pics if you have a playable set.

Anyway the purpose of my post is I hear a bunch on other chips quite often but never hear anything about PD chips anymore!

I've used mine! I have 900 of them, I use a rack of yellow starbursts for fracs so with those it's a 1000 piece set. I would love to add more 1's and 5's, and of course 25's/100's/and fracs but we all know how tough those are to find. I would love to get this set up to around 1500-2k worth of chips over time. We'll see...

No proper pron (proper pron is the reason I'm finally buying a decent DSLR for myself this x-mas season), but here's a quick peak of them hiding between some china clays and faux clays! lol

Let's see some more Point Defiance LOVE!!!!

Turns out the sound of my supersonic cleaner is debilitating to my girlfriend so I haven't finished cleaning yet. She'll be out of town later this month though and I hope to get them all cleaned up and in play after!

here's a scan, peach doesn't show up on the 5. Still waiting on a dealer button !!! Definitely looking for more .50, 5, 25, 100

Yeah let's get something figured out on those buttons. Maybe no gradient and just order up two different colors? Really want a couple dealer buttons to go with this set but it seems the current art just isn't going to print that well and if Sal says the gradient will always be an issue maybe we should just ditch it?

I have plenty of the 5's and 1's and one barrel of 100's. Still looking for at least 2 barrels of $25's or may sell a few to fund another project set. I cannot make up my mind on which way to go.

I've never made a wtb ad because you have been looking for them for so long @David O but if you ever want to sell anything PD related id be interested in any denoms. And obviously, I know who to contact if I decide to get rid of any of mine from your ads, I think there was also some one else looking for PD chips but I can't remember who right now. Wish there were more of these chips, they have really grown on me since I cleaned them and have had them for a bit.

I've got two complete sample sets that I cleaned and after cleaning I wish I had gotten a playable set. They are some incredible chips.

My buddy and I purchased a crap load of these... My take consists of around 500 whites, 700 reds, amd 180 greens. Perfect /1/2 set, but the partial rack is killing me. My buddy has a slightly larger set, but he also just added on three racks of Casino yellow hotstamp quarters he purchased at spinnetties in Vegas. Totally sic! Can't wait until he cleans them up and posts pics.

Which fracs did he end up going with?

Not sure.. Can't recall the specific name, but it's a NV based casino. Solid yellow THC hotstamp quarter. THey look amazing with the set. He did good!

@Jason

Pics?

Ps. I'll even donate my time and layers of skin to help come clean these bad boys with you.... You buy the beer mate! :)

Edited to add photo:

Found this pic he took. Sorry, couldn't help but share his nice score. I think the yellow quarter looks sweet. And knowing the design of his Chan table (arriving shortly), these quarters will look nice in some chip/table pr0n.

Those look great @Trihonda , he definitely did it right. I think yellow is a perfect color for fracs for this set, I like it better than the original blue. I'm Going to end up with a rack (or two hopefully) of Double Down fracs, but I'm also trying to talk someone out of a rack of Fitgerald blue .50s. I know double downs are the way I want to go, but having a rack of those Fitz's interests me because of the original blue fracs.

I can't wait to be in Vegas next time and visit spinietis, I'm jealous of your buddies trip and score!

How do we clean hot-stamped chips, again?

I very carefully used a magic eraser on mine. Mainly just scrubbed the THC part and avoided the hot-stamped part as I feel like the magic eraser could take the hot-stamp foil off if a person wasn't careful

I'm generally not a hot stamp guy but man, the Point Defiance chips are gorgeous! I purchaced some Pointe Defiance decks from The Chip Room....I wish I had a chip set to go along with the cards! (y)

They are nice but will probably end up trying to find a suitable green chip to go with the 1's, 5's and 100's I have. Love to get them in play because chips should not just sit on shelves. They need love!

Been racking my brain for 15 minutes trying to come up with a green $25 hot-stamped THC alternative, but nothing...... maybe a relabeled $25 with a color-matched label that mimics the PD hot-stamp? Talk to Gear.....

Hard to find any with spots that are close. Hoping a few barrels come available someday if not I may have to either do a mixed set or offer them to someone who needs them. It is hard to part with some chips though!

Oh sweet baby Jesus, there are cards? I can't believe A. I could have forgot about that, and B. That I didn't buy any....

Anybody want to sell some? Lol

Hey 12thMan, I have 12 red decks of Point Defiance cards. Eleven decks are sealed, one deck was gently opened just to see what index (regular/standard) then put right back into the box, never used. While I am partial to regular index the players @ my game prefers jumbo so these decks would just be collecting dust remaining in my possesion. I can send them out to ya free of charge. Just message me your mailing information.

There may be some serious demand on here for those Pointe After cards. A few (very few) people have casino sets, which include some of the nicest $25 chips ever manufactured:

Here are a few somewhat readily-available chips that would make good candidates for a Point Defiance $25 relabel job (the Highway 9 Casino is almost a dead-ringer):

Or if you wanted to go with a $20 chip instead, there are these to choose from:

Wow! You're right BGinGA, that is easily one of the sexiest $25's I've ever seen!

As for the cards, as I dug into the box further a few moments ago it turns out that only four decks are the Pointe After. Seven others are Aces Casino & Sports Bar and one deck is Kenmore Lanes Casino. My original order request from the Chip Room was for a dozen Kenmores because they are jumbo index. I guess they mixed up my order or just substituted the Pointe After and Aces decks because Jim was out of stock on the Kenmores at the time. When I opened the box initially, the Pointe After decks were showing on top so i just assumed all 12 were that casino. Ughhhhh! I should have checked before firing off my initial post! Sorry!
