I just want to tell all the chip-a-holics here that in my search for the right chip and the discussions on different kinds of poker chips, I am now officially a snob. Ha ha ha.

I got a copy of Suicide Squad for free, and decided to watch it last night. Aside from Margot Robbie, which is the best reason to watch that movie, like, EVAR, there was a scene where a gambler was in a card room and asking to be spotted another $10K, then I saw him grabbing... dice chips. Not dice chips precisely but the dice chips with a different design around the perimeter, more like the ones with the diamonds all around.

The first thing that popped in my head was "What kind of self-respecting gambling hall uses dice chips?"

I have only been interested for 2 months in getting better poker chips and I've already learned a lot. Ha ha ha. Thank you to everyone for turning me into an aficionado regarding these chips.

That same scene annoyed me in that movie too, for the same reason. Other scenes annoyed me too, for other reasons.

I didn't like that movie.

Its the sickness. It runs deep inside all of us....,.

Welcome! Crazy! I've managed to stay healthy by only keeping a reasonable number of chip sets, by selling off older chips to fund new chip purchases. Best of luck!

Primary because it was a horrible movie.

I unfortunately have to do this as well. It sucks releasing chips back into the wild. It's the only way I can provide a home to some new ones

But the chips you have are quality chips to be proud of

Honestly, I didn't hate the movie, but holy crap was Jared Leto a terrible Joker. The rest of the cast were pretty good and the story wasn't terrible, but then again, I did grow up on Batman cartoons and stuff.

Fortunately, I only ever really have a limited amount of disposable income and have never made enough money to feed a high-priced hobby like this. Once I get 3 sets (possibly 4), I will be done. But this forum and just being interested in chips meant that I have had to turn my nose up at anything of lower quality than Milanos, and even though probably my favorite style of chip is the Le Paulson Noir, I know that spending $3+ a chip is just plain crazy. I was fortunate to get my first set from a person on these boards, and the second and third sets will be Nevada Jack quality sets, with the *possibility* of Milanos as a tournament set.

I grew up with old school batman comic books, cartoons and stuff as well. I just thought this was a terrible movie. I thought is was discombobulated, poor acting, meh villain, ect.... M. Robbie is smoking hot. I enjoyed her insane character portrayal. Nobody else impressed me. I kind of liked Croc and would have liked to see more of him in the story.

Thirty minutes in and it felt like it had already been two hours.

Didn't care for Batman vs Superman either. DC is very good at the direct to video cartoon stories. For some reason they can't figure out how to do a superhero movie to save their lives.

Thanks

The poker scene in Michael Clayton always bugged me for the same reason. You can actually hear the clinking sound of the dice chips.

But most cardrooms aren't savvy about chips. Plenty of underground games use dice chips (or similar)... One of the big illegal games in my area used to have Paulson Classics, which is almost as bad IMO. They may still use them, I haven't been in a year or two.

Anyone see the walking dead episode with dice chips?????

Watched limitless the movie. Anyone see the dice chips!!!!!!
