Poker or chips? (3 Viewers)

I feel that I can go a while with out playing but need chipping more frequently in my life.

I don’t know why but I always use nails and a hammer for an analogy of chips and poker.

The nail is the chip. You really like collecting nails. Maybe really, really like collecting nails! Eventually you’ll wanna use the hammer with the nails and if you don’t know what your doing your gonna smash your hand.

That makes your nails not much fun, when you are using them for their intended purpose to boot. And you’d look like a bit of a fool if you had all these nails but no clue how to hammer.

Idk maybe that’s a dumb analogy

But yeah if you are all into chips and spending money on chips but played like shit and got run over constantly, hopefully a friend will pull ya aside and square ya away. You should at least care about your play if you’re playing for real money.

And most poker players don’t care about the chips they use. Some will use rocks if they had to.

Poker players are all about the hammer and how good that is. They love that hammer and are pretty darn good with it. They care not for the nail. Some don’t even notice the nail when they are hammering away.

They think you’re weird for caring so much. If they even were listening to your rambles about inlays and molds.

Definitely not weird on here. Many posters buy thousands of chips without a home game to play them in. Personally I only found and love this place because it enables me to host and play poker at the stakes I want with whoever I want.

My advice would be keep the stakes low so you have an excuse to use the chips and get more on the table if thats your focus without having to worry about losing all your money trying to play right.

I’ve often said that there are a lot of people here who are more interested in playing chips than playing poker.
You do you.

Always better than losing money gambling

Agreed as others said some are into chips than games.

Wantonness and fethisism for chips are going to force you to become a better player :)
Totally the opposite for me I can’t count cards when I harvest chips
