Hi all!

I'm building my first custom table for my home games. Its been going great, thanks to the information on this forum. But I'm struggling to find the right foam here in the Netherlands. I've contacted a few foam suppliers but they were no help. I've finally found this tread by @Thomacetti from Belgium which was really helpful. But I still have some questions. I don't know anything about foam, learning about all these different types and all their pros and cons has been a bit overwhelming and frustrating. Maybe I'm overthinking things, but of course I want my table to be perfect.

Playing surface:
I won't be using speed cloth because I don't like the feel of it. I bought this felt from a Dutch website. I hope it wasn't a mistake because it feels a bit weird, but I figure I only know it for sure when its installed.
It's hard to find the right foam for the playing surface here. I wanted to go for Volara, but I can't find a supplier in Europe. I have been recommended 1cm (0.4 inch) polyether SG25 by someone who builds tables, but I have a feeling that that's way to soft. I would think that a thinner layer (6mm?/0.24 inch) of polyether SG40 extra hard would be better. @Thomacetti used 3mm (0.12 inch) neoprene, which is available here. Though I'm afraid that may be too hard, also because I'm not using speed cloth but felt. I would love to get some feedback on this.

Rail:
For the rail I found this synthetic microsuede, look pretty good. Haven't ordered it yet, I think I'll go for brown.
The foam for the rail isn't as important as the foam for the playing surface. Right now I'm leaning towards this polyether SG 35 hard 25mm (1 inch). I think this should be fine. There is also "cold foam" a different time of polyether, could be better but it's more expensive.

I would love to get some input on what kind of foam I should use. Does anybody have experience with these types of polyether? Tnx a lot!

Here is a picture of the table so far. Only the lighting and upholstery left to do.
