I think it's a pretty bad deal. I know a local carpenter who will build me a table to whatever specifications I want with top quality materials for 500$. I can't imagine those chips fetch very much money...

Not necessarily an indication of bad construction. If those are cast iron bases, they're *really* heavy, and even a table made with 3 sheets of good plywood would bend if you picked it up with one person at each end. these types are tables are usually ones you have to disasemble feon the bases to move. Price looks ok given the bases, you could probably offer $300-$400 and take it. If no shuffler included (which is likely the case if from a casino as those are rented) you have to patch the hole...
