I know this won't be for everyone, especially those with deeper pockets and chips to die for, but hopefully those on a tap water budget, like me, might be able to appreciate these a bit. I want to thank @uclaure for getting the huge batch of these and selling them for a reasonable price. I also want to thank @Gear for making an absolutely incredible product that does not break the bank. Another thanks to @The Chip Exchange for selling the Lucky Derby chips at a good price. I thought the new set went well with some of my oldie Eldorados.

@justsomedude, @FDLmold is correct. Those were originally $.50 Eldorado fracs, but the hot stamps were completely worn off. The $.25 makes more sense for our $.25/$.50 high roller nights!

Thanks a lot for the comments. I know they're old cheapos, but I like them.

I don't care about the age or wear at all... I think those colors are awesome. I mean that sincerely.

Thanks a lot, man. That really does mean a lot coming from an old vet chipper that has chips to dream about!

They turned out awesome! Did you have to mill the eldorado fracs and the LD 1’s or did you just slap the labels on? I love that hundo, is it a legit eldorado chip?

Nicely done with the labels (y)

Best chip ever (y)

Best mold ever (y)

.... And the feel of a well-worn Paulson (y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y) What's not to like?

I did not have to mill them (I couldn't have afforded it if that was the case). Just slapped the labels on and they fit perfectly. No issues at all while shuffling. That hundo is a legit Eldorado chip. It's one of my favorite chips I have. Some of the Eldorados were my first chips. Kind of hold a soft spot with me! Always looking for others to add to my modest collection.

+1 to all the statements above. Just an outstanding set. Love the common theme and spot colors—seriously great old-school look. And a classic casino too. And there is no better-feeling chip than a worn Paulson (or TRK). Shuffles like butter and feels great. The consistency of condition is what makes this set so great. Well done.

Great set you've got there! Love the old-school, fully leaded Paulsons! And it looks like you also put in some bonding time with them cleaning and oiling. Nice!

Will be curious to see what you come up with for a $20. Enjoy the hunt!

Why are you considering these poor mans chips? ...... they are Paulson's, they look to be in good condition, and they have custom labels. I would put these in a higher end catergory (y)

Brian,

There was PLENTY of bonding time, especially with the $1s. The Lucky Derby and fracs cleaned up really well in the Ultrasonic, but the $1s needed an extra long US bath, along with hand scrubbing, Magic Eraser, and needle. I don't even want to think of the time (and pain) put in to those babies!

Thanks for the comment!

no disclaimer needed...these look great. The kinda set you just wanna get in play with the fellas. Great work!

Whenever you sell this set people will be lining up...

You’re not kidding about the ones. I thought there was something wrong with my ultrasonic cleaner after I cleaned 40 of them for 3 minutes and they still had a lot of crud on them. I tried oxyclean in the US, but those results were even worse. I tried soaking them for 15 minutes in water to try and loosen the hooker juice...didn’t help. Good to know I’m not going crazy:confused:. I have over 1000 of these to clean...yikes(n)
