Hey everyone,

I've been kicking around the idea of going custom for a long time now and while I am perfectly happy with my Gangster Squad set that dang chip design tool is just tempting me too much. So I've decided I may part with these chips if I can get a good enough price.

History:
The labels were made by Gear and are absolutely incredible. Most people can't even tell they are re-labeled chips.

I would also include the rights to the artwork as well as all my design files (which can easily be modified if someone wanted to add on additional denominations or change a current denomination). I'd guess I have at least 200-300 extra labels as I was planning/hoping to get another rack to label as 1's.

The chips were originally Paulson RHC mold Even Steven's chips.
The Even Steven 1's became Gangster Squad .25's
The Even Steven 5's became Gangster Squad 1's
The Even Steven 25's became Gangster Squad 5's
The Even Steven 100's became Gangster Squad 25's

All labels could be removed if you so desired to have an Even Steven set.

I would be willing to sell it as a full complete set or split it into two smaller sets.

Big Set: 940 chips
Breakdown:
420x .25's
410x 1's
80x 5's
30x 25's
Total Bankroll: $1655

Or I would be willing to split it into 2 smaller sets of 470 chips each
Breakdown for the two sets:
210x .25's
200x 1's
40x 5's
15x 25's
Total Bankroll: $827.50

Also if someone did remove the labels you'd be left with 420x $1, 410x $5, 80x $25, and 30x $100 which would give the big set a bankroll of: $7470.00 if I did my math correctly.

Wondering what people think the current fair market value would be for these on here and or eBay? I'm not set on selling them but if the price was right I'd seriously consider it to fund my CPC custom set.

That is a great relabel set and I hope you get what you need to get your customs. I'm looking forward to seeing those.

My gut reaction is that you'll have better luck removing the labels and offering them for sale as Even Stevens. The denom/color combos and inlay may not appeal to a wider portion of the market.

I was thinking the same thing, but at the same time I wouldn't do that until they're actually sold (just in case).

That's what I've been thinking too. I would hate to remove the labels before selling them so I may just throw these up as is with the minimum price I'm willing to take for them on eBay and see if I get any takers. It doesn't cost me anything if they don't sell so its really no skin off my back as I still love these chips.

I agree with the others regarding the wider appeal, but also agree with you not wanting to do it until...

Here is an idea. List them as Gangster Squad to see how it goes. Identify them as Even Steven's the way you did above. Nice breakdown for a 1-2 game btw if they were used as Even Stevens... did you plan that? If they don't sell as Gangster Squad, remove one label from the chip at the top of each stack... maybe 9 or 10 chips. Retake the photos... it will look like the entire set is Even Stevens... if they sell at that time... then you can remove the rest of the labels.

Regarding price... about 8 months ago, I sold my 400 chipset of ES for about $400 if I recall correctly. Were these originally the "mint" or the "slightly used"... not that it matters... the slightly used were damn near mint... tough to tell the difference. Good Luck.

I didn't really plan for it to be a good breakdown for a 1-2 game it just happened that way due to restrictions on buying quantities when they were offered up originally. Originally I had I think 500 chips. Then here and there bought a rack or barrel of chips to add on to get it to what it is today. I have a spreadsheet where I keep track of all my chip purchases and looking at what I've got into these really would need to sell the set for at least 1400-1600 for it to be worthwhile. The chips I originally bought I believe were all new if I remember correctly and then over time the remaining some were new that I bought individually and some were the barely used. I kept track of each purchase be it a barrel or rack here or there but as an average the remaining 400 or so that I added on all cost me at a minimum 1.31 to 1.75 per chip for the lower denoms and slightly more for the higher denom (25 and 100 dollar) chips.

Is it realistic to get say 1500+ (1.60 chip) for the set in todays market where it seems every Paulson chip is going for 1.50-3/chip? I would think so just due to what I've been seeing chips go for on here and eBay lately but who knows until I try I guess...

Decided to throw them on eBay and see what happens. Had to add a little extra with the 10% paypal fees.

I'm sure whatever you priced them at this time is going to look like a bargain compared to the last time you listed them  :ROFLMAO:

Should be a snap buy for someone. What 90% off my old asking price lol
