High Hand
So I have always considered the Protege chips the best custom poker chip design ever produced. If I had to pick my favorite casino chip, it's the Crystal Parks, which I had back in the day but had to sell due to financial issues almost 20 years ago. But, I digress...
I know they are expensive but I'm ready to buy. I want to get my hands on a set big enough for my .25/.50 and my 1/3 games. I'd say ideally, I'm looking for:
100 .25s
250 1s
450 5s
150 25s
50 100s
Since that's 1000 chips, I'd be ok taking the lot of them from game to game, no need to split them into 2 smaller sets and it saves having to get even more chips. The biggest single table home game I've played to date had around 10k in play so this set would cover that with some room to spare. I'm just putting this out there to see if there's a chance in hell this could happen. If not, then I'll pair with a professional designer to create my own set taking a lot of the design cues from these beauties. This is what I really love about them:
The edge spot choices
The shaped inlays
The inlay background and denom color choice compatibility with the chip color
In particular I am a huge fan of the quarter, the dollar, and the hundred. The most beautiful chips I've ever seen.
I can be patient. I'm willing to buy this piecemeal over time if necessary. I've only newly joined the forum and my intent is to work towards my final chip set purchase - my holy grail, if you will. Any chance in hell this can happen? If not, I'll just keep drooling over my samples.
