Hi All:

I actually don't know how realistic or ridiculous this request is, but I have two styles of MGM fracs - one round inlay and one shaped. See below:

I would like to trade my rack of round inlays for a rack of shaped. Mine are near mint, so I'd like yours to be same. What say you?

Beautiful set...my favorite live set out there now..but I am partial.

Those plaques were a great pick up!

I think that you're looking to trade a rack of the newer quarters for a rack of older ones. I have to check - I'm pretty sure that I have a rack of each. I won't have physical access to them for a month. I'm not sure of the relative value either, but if we traded then we'd each end up with 2 racks of the same kind.

Look for other people first, though...

Maybe not over 10 yrs. But at least 7-8 yrs. And the 1st editions are much nice looking!!

WHich are which? The round inlays have better edge spots, but the shaped inlay is nicer. I'm not clear which chip is which edition, or which one is perceived as higher value.

That's what's great about chips. I prefer all aspects of the faux shaped inlay chip. The edgespot choice and color as well as the inlay.

To answer your question, the older chip is the one with chocolate spots and shaped inlay (and also my all time favorite quarter).

Like I said... I wasn't sure why the difference, and if what I was asking was realistic or ridiculous. I just know I like the faux shaped inlay better because it matches with the snappers. I agree with Chicken Rob that the multicolored edge spots are nicer.

If anyone has a rack they'd consider trading, we can talk about relative values. If it doesn't work out, no harm, no foul.
