How did you do the drawer?

I built the skirt to accept a drawer. You just need something to mount the slides to. Here's a pic of a different table, but you get the idea....

I noticed the PD table has a board running between the pedestals where the others do not. Does that add any (noticeable) rigidity, or is it more for aesthetics, or...?

Equally as rigid.....Just customer preference.

Thanks for the question, Rebelwork! If you look closely at the pics with 1 section and 2 sections...I install 1/2" tapered blocks on the inside top, as well as the inside side.....so it all keys together with no vertical or horizontal movement. Between that, the weight of the pieces and the "grip" quality of the whisper vinyl, it usually stays in place very well.....No complaints yet!

I wouldn't really call it a compression fitting....its more like alignment blocks
