Hi folks. Recently I relabelled my orange 5k's as 500's, and have now (courtesy of Sharpie26) got 40 blank red chips, which I've put the 5k labels on.

I realise this takes me fairly and squarely out of "traditional colour progression" territory, but I wanted to get those amazing orange chips into play way more often (and as has been said by others, sometimes people think the black and blue chips are too similar).

I know the usual thing to do is to put T500 labels on the lavendar (T100k) chip, but I like 'em, and there is now zero chance of chip confusion (although to my eyes under a lot of lighting conditions the orange chips and pink "bounty" chips are very similar main-colour wise when in a stack. Yet to see if it makes any difference in actual play yet.)

That's a cool idea, any way to get the orange in play longer is good IMO. :)

I have ~4000 of these chips and just recently picked up enough T100,000s that I can now use the T500 as Lavender or the original Blue. :) I hadn't thought about changing the T5000s though. I'm trying to keep it as close to WSOP as possible...

I like your option too though!

When I had them, I toyed with relabeling my T5's as T500's. Didn't cross my mind to have orange T500's.

Had a lightbulb moment one day - "Damn I wish I could use my 80 T500 blue chips less... And I wish I could use my 80 T5000 orange chips more... If only there was a way... Hang on... I can swap the labels!"

I've always been quick :)

I was even considering moving up to a blind structure where the 5K's would be the second lowest denom, because that would open up the 25K and 100K chips, and there were a couple of deals here that tempted me, but I loved the T25 and T100 chips too much to abandon them.
