I was in Vegas last week for a conference and grabbed some $1 chips from their cashier. I'm very curious how old folks think these are based on, what I think, is the extreme wear and filthiness of the chips. All but one, the wear has removed the top of the hat. The labels seem relatively new to me, so I'm assuming these were likely bought off another casino and labelled for red rock.

I haven't cleaned them yet, but need to... they're nasty.

Everything at the resort/hotel/casino has a similar vibe. The carpets and much of the ornamentation was the same color and pattern. It definitely looks like a barcode when you jam it on a chip though.

Thanks for the info on 19 years. I cleaned them to get the human schmoo off. Here's more on the edges. Only the one on the end has full top hat and any sort of texture on it. The rest are fully smooth.

I’ve seen all denoms of 39mm chips used at RR except 2s. $1 and $5 are bike tires, $25 $100 ok, $500 and up sharp but ugly.

Just like others said these chips are used for 19 years since the opening or RR in 2006.
