Introduction
When @allforcharity was selling a large lot of roulette chips from Reno's casino Club Cal-Neva, I bought about 200 chips in order to create a small 6-max tournament set, easy to travel with. I bought the "fair" (read used) chips because the hotstamp were already worn and then an unlaminated label from @Gear could directly be applied. The pictures and details of this set are still visible here.
During one of my home game with this set, it has been reported that under low light, chocolate and purple chips could be mixed if in a same stack from the other side of the table and then I decided to buy showboat grey Cal-Neva roulette chips to replace the chocolate ones.
I reflected a bit and decided that instead of applying an unlaminated label on the showboat grey chips, it would be the opportunity to go further to eliminate the few spinners I also noticed by milling the chips and having laminated labels. Since I would have to remove all the existing labels, I also decided to review the design because using a copyrighted casino name did not suit me so well, although it was clearly marked as "tribute" set.
Although I did not want to have the real "Club Cal-Neva" name on the logo, I still wanted something close. Hence, I came with this idea, heavily inspired by the WSOP logo. In the end, this logo is my tribute to the WSOP and the Club Cal-Neva.
Milling, (re-)cleaning, (re-oiling) and labels application has been done by @OlNoiShi and the choosen labels are the smooth laminate ones from @Gear .
I've also redone a ceramic 60mm dealer button (PolyChrom) with @SUN-FLY Poker Chips as I was in the process of ordering a custom set with them.
