Has anyone ever built a table using a roll out topper on the base? Adding a rail around it and calling it a day? Instead of adding one to a pre built table just build a rail around the topper itself?
Am I making sense? Do people do this? Seems like it would make for a cheaper build seeing as I already own a roll out topper.

TIA

Do you mean so you could have multiple roll out toppers to fit snugly into a table? So it kinda feels like you have new table every game? But it’s just the topper.

I just have the one topper. I just figured I could slap that in there instead of gluing foam down and stapling speed cloth

Oh yep, I think there was a thread recently talking about that. But maybe that was from the prospective of speed cloth vs topper for card slide speed.

So just a topper over wood/the table? I would probably want a bit more padding.
Ya that exactly what I was thinking... Good to know. Just trying to figure out what I can do with this topper. See if I can't sell it I guess instead. I could hold onto it and see if the Barrington at my local Costco goes on sale since they haven't sold any it seems lol. And use it in there to cover up the folding portion. Idk but I definitely need a table of some kind.

If it works for you, it works for you. Never build a poker table before so don't know what would be the proper way. Definitely played with a topper on a wooden table before and it usually works fine.

It would be cool to find some inflatable rails lol. Easy to store if you could deflate them and roll it up.

Patent pending trolls, now prior art lol
