Rounders 2 Script Ideas:

1) they both move to the Isle of Man and setup an online poker site. Chris Ferguson is the antagonist and multi-accounts his way into almost bankrupting both Norton and Damon. They finally have to go full Italian Job and Jason Bourne to bring Ferguson down.

2) it turns into more of an Odd Fellows comedy - they both just go to Foxwoods every day and play 1/5 spread limit stud, while they live together. Hiliarity ensues.

3) Norton starts dating the girl from the Taj Mahal (pre-noodle bar) and it turns into a bizarrely weird rom-com.

Way better story lines at a time when poker was cool and underground.

Modern day poker doesn’t make a good story imho.

Rounders 2, but a 72 year old Worm brings Mike McD to a casino to play 4/8 LHE where they won’t put him in the lobby to earn points while he walks around, and hilarity ensues.

The problem with doing a prequel is you can't make these guys look young enough to pull it off. You'd need another cast and I want to see the original cast.

In all seriousness, I don't see what they could do continuing that story without it turning into a suck-sequel. You just can't recreate the dynamic between mike, worm, and teddy. You can only re-hash it.

Thus, though I'd like to see more Rounders, I'd worry about just seeing more Rounders.
