This is probably a bit of a stretch... but I would love a sample set of BCC Capital Room. Anyone?

I remember that GB. Man I can't believe the many great sets I missed out on.

I paid for a tournament set that was never produced. To this day, JoshuaDalton won't respond to any communication regarding a refund. I always thought he was a stand-up guy, but I was apparently wrong.

Yeah, same here :(

Sounds like this guy needs a visit from the Detroit Poker Mafia.

I'll take a sample set too, if anyone has another one spare!! ;)

He is out of the chipping game, but should still take care of this for you. I had an awful time, trying to get him to finish the add-ons for my Andy's Palace Set. The guy would not respond to emails. I finally had to resort to looking up his number, and getting his attention via phone. I have his cell number someplace, if you want it. I can PM it to you.

Ugh... I had no idea about the horror story of that group buy. It was before my time. I've seen the name joshuadalton when looking up old threads on CT. Bad situation.

Damn I guess I either had no idea or had completely forgotten about the tourney chip debacle. I bought a bunch of MGK blanks from Josh a while ago. I would have said something to him had I known. Then again, had I known maybe I'd have been reluctant to attempt the purchase in the first place.

I am surprised to read a thing like that ... I hope you can get back yout funds

Effectively, Feneck84 is right ! :) I have a Capitol room set, 100 of each, exactly.
I bought a very big set of them in 2014, from a CT member, kept a rack of each, and sold the others to many French chipsgeek, in samples or complete sets.
But, unfortunatly, I have today only some orphan chips that I kept to replace possible damaged chips, not enough for a complete sample and I would not break my racks for a sample.

Hi guys,
Contact Mr.Kaktus, a french chipgeek, he sold me a set last year. Maybe he still has some samples for you. Here is one of his pics:

These are still as pretty as I remember them. I took part in the original group-buy with way over 2k chps, and Mr. Kaktus bought these from me, about two years ago.

Fortunately, the manufacturing quality of these was very good, which is not the case with all BCC sets, and with the MGK mold, those great color choices, and color-matched black inlays these are indeed something special. Inlay centering was a bit off on some chips and there were some slightly split edgespots on the $1's and the $500's, but that was no big deal and - as you can see on the pic - a BCC set really doesn't get much better than this. In some way, I miss these, but they wouldn't see any play anyway, so it's good to see other collectors/players enjoying these. Always nice too see that these are not forgotten :)

In person, the 25c and the (laker purple) $25 are the most impressive chips; the three-colored edgespots on the latter are just awesome. The $25 chip also benefits dramatically from oiling.

Sad to hear that some of you have been screwed over by Josh :( I took part in two of his CT group-buys (the V2 High Rollers, which were very disappointing, quality-wise, and the fantastic Capital Rooms). Communication wasn't always perfect, but I received all the chips I paid for and he also did an absolute stellar job on hotstamping my Capital Room 5c's (which are not part of Josh's original set). Looking back, I'd choose a different color (perhaps a darker green) for these now, as the golden hotstamp isn't very good visible on the sherbet green base, but I simply liked the color too much ;)

I'm a UT Austin grad so I jumped on these when they came out and put together a decent cash set. The quality is generally pretty good, especially on the $.25s and $25s, though there were some issues with splitting (on the $1s) and minor color variations on the $1s and $5s (from batch to batch, I assume). I never saw those lime nickels...I would have been all over those.

As luck would have it @Toby, I've got four sample sets I'd be happy to part with ($.25/$1/$5/$25/$100). I'll hold one for you, and the other three go to anyone who wants them (1 per person). Just send me a PM. Sorry, all sample sets spoken for.

I'm planning to open a classified to see if anyone's interested in trading one rack of nickels for a rack of $1s + a rack of $5s. I doubt that's going to happen, so most likely I'll just sell those two racks for $110 each.

^^^wow.

If you are ever interested in selling your set... or part of it. Lemme know. A rack of quarters, a rack of dollars, a rack of fives, 40 twenty-fives and an barrel of hundos would fit great into my game.
