I'm looking to get another rack of Samurai Palace 1000's. Does anybody have any they could part with?

(I will also take 5's and consider buying whole sets if the price is right(y))

PM if you've got some.

Thanks

I might have one 1k chip lol. Yours if you want it "if I have it" that is

It must be so lonely...:(

That would be great. If you find it, let me know.

I just need 99 more lonely chips!!(y)

Still plenty of $500's if you can double up on them instead of the 1k's at Hold'em Poker Chips. Though he will ass rape you on shipping!
Yup...the shipping charge is a tough pill to swallow. There have been a number of times that I had an order a ready to complete, but backed out because of the shipping.

I tried to work a deal with him for all of the $2 Mardi Gras chips, but he refused. So I got 2 racks to complete my set and was so pissed to see a $25 shipping charge. He'll be sitting on the rest of those $2's forever I hope!

@XBobdog. I don't know if it's a big deal to you or not, but when you find $1000s, be aware that there are 2 different types of edge spots out there. It's subtle until you see them side by side. It doesn't bother me, but something to be aware of. The one on the left has 2 light yellowish/tan edge spots that do not exist on the chips on the right.

I didn't know that. It doesn't mater much to me. I like the extra edge spots. Cause, more spots...

But the ones I have don't have the edge spot.

I don't think the extra edge spots were intentional. As I recall there wasn't a die for the spot wanted so all spots were punched and then filled but the colour matching to the body of the chip wasn't an exact match.

I seem to remember that there were some other changes depending on which run of the chips you bought - lighter/darker labels (which you can see in post #10), different colour inserts on the $1, something also changed with the $5000 (perhaps a spot colour?). That's just off the top of my head. I recall Courage looking for specific chips when making his set but not sure which chips he was trying to match (I know he was buying $1s and $5s).

Interesting. So the die used was for 4 edge spots, but only 2 were desired (which is why they matched the edge spot color to the base)? I know nothing about the process, but it looks like the 1000s and 5000s may have shared the same die.

I knew about the 1s and 5s having different colors, but I had never heard anything about the higher denoms. I purchased the 1000s with yellow edge spots from a European seller. The ones with no yellow edge spots were purchased directly from Holdem Poker Chips.

Does anybody know how many of the 1000s with yellow edge spots were made??
