Paulo, any background on these? I have a set of the solids, but I've forgotten where they came from. Tnx...

Unfortunately I don't have any reliable background on those Larry... If my mind serves me right (not too often nowadays), those were order by a CT member quite a while ago. I even remember someone a few years back saying he owned the dies, but I just can't remember who it was. I tried to search CT for it and couldn't find anything. I also got an PM on eBay from a guy claiming he has a Cash set of those. He is not a member here btw.

I got the set a couple of years back from @mike32 so maybe he has something more concrete... Maybe @BGinGA knows something about?

I bought the blanks from both Apache and directly from ASM Maine. I had them hot stamped by @cgraham86 and I was happy with the results. I still have a cash set of H molds that I had stamped with the "Dunes" stamp, and I really like those chips as well. AFAIK Corey still has those stamps, plus a couple other old school casinos. I would say adding on is certainly not out of the question.

Oh, I never knew you were the one who stamped the chips Mike!!! Really, really cool!!! And now that I think, it might have been Corey who mentioned he had the dies...

It goes without saying if you want the set back, it's yours Mike...

I am 93.7% certain that Suckout King bought the dies originally.

The colors of the 5 through 100 appear to have been modeled for the most part (5 and 25 more or less as exact as possible given ASM/CPC palette; 100 substituting arc yellow for Paulson's yellow) after the Fitzgerald Reno hotstamped tourney chips, few of which I've seen on the market for some time.

Unfortunately I don't have saved pics and a quick google returns no help. The Chip Guide only has the 100. I'd be shocked if someone around here didn't have pr0n of some kind, though. I always liked that set and kicked myself for not grabbing some when I had the opportunity.

I must have done that subconsciously! I did pick the orange/imperial blue 312 but the green and black chips were the stock 312's that Apache used to sell. I also very quickly (and cheaply) picked a solid gray 1,000.

The colors work great together and I love the idea of an orange 5.

I wonder if Jim still has old photos of the Fitz chips from when he sold them. @TheChipRoom, anything in the old hard drive?

I actually ended up winning the auction Thanks C/R...I messaged you on eBay asking if I could send a postal money order rather than putting it on a credit card...no need for the wife to know with a paper trail...LOL if it is a problem thats fine .

While we are discussing these chips my plan is to clean the foil and have paper inlays made for them if its possible...Is it?

Congrats Mark! It's a beautiful set for a great price.

I'll sending you a PM on the money order question.

There is no recess on those chips so if you want to add a label, you'd need to mill one. I wouldn't recommend having this done for those chips personaly. And the Stamps is beautiful the way they are...

Please do not mill these! Please. If you want something to mill I have some other chips that can be milled in place of these. I know you purchased them and they are yours to do with what you want but I hate to see a very nice tribute set be milled and relabeled,

Agree with @David O completely. Also, @Mark3466us, it would be fairly pricey to mill them and then have quality inlays made.

Just my opinion, but using them as is would be a much better option.

I love how everyone here instantly knows who's chips are on eBay lol.

It's a pretty sick community. Great people, but I wish I had never found this site. It's impacting my life, and not in a good way :mad:
