Noticed that the hundo for this set has a security dot (probably called something else), and is also the only chip without a textured inlay. Wondering:
1) How does this security feature work?
2) Is it not compatible with a textured inlay?
The security dot has micro-printing on it that's meant to be read with a magnifier. My suspicion is the text can't be read through/under a textured surface.

The old textured inlays that so many of us love, weren’t compatible with the new security features, so they were eliminated. I think that microdot or whatever we call it may have been the one that knocked out textured inlays.
Prior to that, there was watermark style printing on inlays, for security purposes. I think shaped inlays were actually a security feature. And I guess the oldest one was edgespots?
No gospel here, just my vague assumptions.
