As of right now the weekly cash games are $100 buy and average stack by end of the night usually around 3-400. Tournaments have lately been once a month rather than twice. The holidays and everybody’s family events make it tougher until holidays are over. We have ceramics but ive been waiting a while to invest in some nice Paulsons for cash and tourney. Thinking around 6-8k in total for large sets of each should be more than plenty to get some nice ones on the table and be enjoyed for a long time.

$6-8k for a cash set and tournament set... you can get some very nice sets in that price range.

Forgot to mention, cash game players usually 7 or 8 and the tournaments have a single table of more with usually a guaranteed 15 or 16 that show for the tournaments.

Sounds awesome, it's ashame that usually the regs at are games don't usually care if you have dice chips or $4k Paulson set...lol hopefully though some will appreciate your awesomeness! You will definitely be able to find awesome stuff with that budget...

They're not picky at all at mine but all of us felt like it was time to take the jump and own some nice chips for the gang to play with.

The first key is to maximize chip efficiency, so search for some useful cash and tourney breakdowns to get a total number of chips. Two big caveats:
1. Get separate sets for cash and tourney
2. Try to get samples before buying big
