I have a weekly (sometimes twice a week) game with anywhere from 5-15 people, and we don't use any $5 chips just for convenience. We have been using the same chips, same colors for each denomination for the last 20 years at least. A lot of the guys who play are older men who would have a hard time with change, so I'd like to get a nice set with the following color/denom settings: Red=$10, green=$20, black=$50, white=$100, orange=$500.
From what I can gather shopping around online, the color/denomination combo isn't really universal, but what does seem to be universal is that there are almost never $10 or $20 chips, and always $25's.
Should I just stick with blanks or should I try to get a set customized? I'm assuming you could get whatever denom on whatever color you want, but at quite a bit extra $$$ I'm sure.
