I have a one table cash set of PNY's for sale at the price of 1400 shipped. I refuse to go lower than that.

I've never done a raffle. Honestly, they seem like too much work. If I do this, I'll probably outsource it to @WedgeRock for a steak dinner or something.

Before I bother with any of that. Is there even interest in a raffle for a set of PNY's?

I would need to sell 56 x $25.00 dollar tickets to reach the $1400 mark.

Simply answer the poll.

Thank you for your time.

I'd rather do this than send them to eBay.

Bill

The link to the sales thread is in the OP.

100 x .25
200 x 1
200 x 5
111 x 25
11 x 100

I have a few extra ones and fives that I'm throwing in.

@Rhodeman's raffle was filled in like 2 days. But for 48 hours, it was a PITA to keep up with all the requests, the randomization of those that didn't pick their numbers, etc. Had to keep a running list of who had what numbers, what was still available, etc. (and still feel like @Chippy McChiperson got screwed). Then I had to stay on top of payments. And I didn't even have to pack or ship the chips. Luckily, I was slow at work for those two days and could stay on top of it.

It would have been 10x more work if those that got into the raffle weren't as awesome as they were. Rhodeman hooked me up with some goodies for the effort (very generous, thanks again!), but I'm not itching to do another one.

I guess what I'm suggesting is, if you're going to run a raffle, build something in for your troubles. Don't raffle them at your rock bottom price and then have a ton of work on top of it.

Nah I didn't get screwed, that's just how I run in these things. If I got that number, guaranteed a different number would have been drawn. I think when @RainmanTrail raffled off his TRK set I would have binked if the drawing had been the night it filled, but the drawing was held the next evening and someone else won.

I'm prob the minority, but with a ton of PNY stuff on here lately, I'd go eBay route and maybe make a premium...

It's probably silly. I'd feel dirty for raffling them at a higher price than what I was selling them for. Sorry about the steak dinner reference. I'd obviously serve you Tofu :) Colleen still thinks I should prepare something different for you on SAT.

That is pretty solid reasoning. Only problem is, I hate eBay.

Yeah, it's true... But it's the option that requires the least of you to do. Post it, put a price with the fees put in, add a bit for hotdog sandwiches, sit back till it's sells.

Nothing wrong with it IMO unless it's a "significant" bump. Particularly if you also have a "buy it before the raffle is x% full option" at the lower selling price.

If it were me, *at a minimum* I would raffle them for my cost + shipping. Actually, if it were me, I'd just buy a damn set and be happy with it, but that's another conversation altogether. If these get the interest Rhodeman's Soapy limit set did, its gonna be alot of time for a couple days. Plan on babysitting the raffle for the better part of two days. Once you start sending out Paypal invoices, you'll need to track that, but you can do that in a couple hours in the evening. The extra work to raffle them off is worth something, IMO.

If you're up front about what they cost you and what you're raffling them for, there's nothing to feel dirty about. And I'm not saying set a ridiculous upcharge, but I wouldn't raffle them off at a loss either.

Red meat doesn't insta-kill me... it does it very slowly. And as long as I stay on top of it, I can minimize the effects. Just means a blood-letting earlier than planned.

But please, don't do anything special for me. I'll be fine on Saturday. I plan on taking enough off you that I can fly in Michael Symon to prepare something table-side.

Oh I’m still bitter about that one. Somebody backed out and rainman backed everybody’s numbers down to fill the empty slots. The winning number was the one I originally had before numbers were re-assigned. I’m not complaining. Just bitter.

.....aaaaaand that's why I don't do raffles that often. There is some odd reason why I won't win but I'll be sooooo clooooose

I'm in for $25, not because I want them, but because I get tired of hearing you talk about them all the damn time.

Then if I win I will flip them.

1 vote raffle.

It’s a gamboool in the truest sense of the word.
So painful. I had one for a knife that had nearly the same thing happen. Requested 11, cut some spots. Shrunk me to 9... 11 won... Rage!!!

I'll buy one, probably two tickets
