I never understood the black-on-black inlay. If you want a factory-made chip that looks like a hotstamp, why not just get a hotstamp?
Somehow it makes even less sense that the inlay is shaped.
yeah i sort of agree with you gear, plus they hot stamped the quarters so wtf ?? why not repeat the process with the $1.....anyone ever see any $5's
Thought you meant this one...
Never made $5s iirc these were made for a bar or something to be used for drinks not for a cardroom.
Correct, it was a huge disco place in California back in the '80s. No gambling.

i have a rack of the black inlay that i always thought worked well with these quarters...they didnt get into play though, i just know it was a pain to try to find either,View attachment 27409 black or white
i see what you mean but no mine have the scallop inlay...the light doesnt show it well, i had some other pics but they were too large to post...i will give it a shot later
i honestly think liftapint's sale was a steal and yes since i own a rack of them is part the reason....i thought i saw the last rack sell a year or so ago on eBay for about $200+.....i thought of grabbing them and putting em back up on eBay with my black rack but glad someone got them here......u got a deal (y)
im pretty much done for a long long time......
Since it was a disco spot in the 80's, they might have not been dry, could have been cocaine residue.an old pic in direct sunlight before they got a small drop of oil...they were a bit dry
