sourcing table foam in europe (1 Viewer)

hi,

I'm planning to build a small table top. I can source speedcloth in europe, but I'm not sure where to get the foam sheeting for underneath the cloth.

Can any european chippers help out here? @anstossfreak @Thomacetti @Puggy ? I would be searching for something like 1/4" Volara or high density foam. I found a supplier in the UK, but they don't chip to Germany.

Upholstery supply stores should have it. Ask for 1/4" closed cell foam.

I think the major problem here is that I don't know how to describe "high density foam sheets" in German. Google translate hasn't helped.

That looks like open cell foam to me. It will basically do nothing in terms of padding once the speed cloth is pulled over, if you can even keep the entire playing surface flat and level using it.

Check out "Trittschalldämmung" especially "Trittschalldämmung für laminat" I think it is really close to what you are looking for
