Starburst chips was the chips that started the madness for me. Years ago I bought a beautiful glowing rack of Blaze Orange and now here I am 65k chips later today.

Starbursts - the gateway drug to the chip world for sure. Just look how fast all these yummy chips sold. Addicts!

Addict?! No way! I just need a few more red chips and my Starburst set is DONE... ok maybe a whole rack of reds would be nice just to get an even number but then I'm DONE... but you know if I just added a few more greens I could play the set both for cash games and tournament games... and I guess a few more blacks too... not that I've ever hosted a tournament, but you know, just in case... and I should probably get a barrel of a cool color that can be used for bounty chips since that seems like something people do but then I'm DONE... and snappers! I didn't even know I needed snappers until I read that PCF thread so yah, I guess add on a barrel of pinks... and this buddy has been looking at chips so I should probably help him design a custom label for some china clays... and you know maybe just a small little mixed vintage casino heads up set for special occasions, but then I'm DONE... What?! $6 per chip?! Sure, I guess it's totally worth paying that extra money for those special minty chips... No! we can't play with those! those are too valuable! Well, ok, but no shuffling!... and I suppose if I ever saw a few more of those vintage casino chips up for sale I should probably grab them, you know, just to pull them together... gosh, I only need few more of those casino chips to build it out into a playable set, that would be cool... then I could use the Starbursts as my travel set... not that I've ever needed a travel set, but you know, just in case... and wow, those vintage casino chips are hard to find, maybe I should just design my own CPC set with my favorite chips colors with this awesome spot progression that I've been mocking up... what's that? minimum number of chip order? I guess I could add a few more chips so I can have a few more denomination colors... well it would just make sense to get a few more chips to be able to play cash and tourney games... but then I'm DONE! ... ooooh look! quarter pies... those are cool!... maybe just one more sample set...

You just outlined the general thought process of the typical PCF chip enthusiast.

That pretty much sums it up. The only part missing is the purge, when you need money for another hobby. Or the car/ house / kid / grilfriend breaks and now you need to scrape together a few grand. Unlike most addictions aka hobbies, at least chips seem to hold their value. You might even make money on X chips because the company was so profitable that they went out of business or got bought out.

Sorry, I forgot to update this thread. Only the Royal Red with spinners is available. I do have a rack of excellent condition Lavenders in my own collection but I am only willing to let those go if you have some chips to trade esp. from my Signature. PM me
