What is the best starting stacks for a .25/.50 game? 700 chip set
200 x .25
200 x $1
200 x $5
80 x $25
20 x $100

one table 10 average 8 to 10 players

average buy in $35 no max.

about 3 players buy in for 50 - 100 myself being one of them I just usually wait to see who buys the most and just buy that stack.
Planning on switching this game to .50/1 but for now its staying .25/50. Thanks

What they said, and then drop to 12 quarters, 12 ones, balance in fives for two tables of 8 players each. That's pretty much the rationale for the set build.

Note that changing from .25/.50 to .50/1 will likely have little effect if the players don't change too. The players make the stakes at small size blind levels, not the blinds. Only at 1/2 (and moreso higher) do blinds begin to influence behavior, imo.

Right. Unless you have a new bunch of players in mind, you might want to reconsider that, because your average player is already buying in short.
