Have a tourney set of CPS chips and the 100 and 500's run too close together in color, plus I want to see a lot of the 5K oranges in play, so changing my starting stacks to 200,000 for a 10-player single table tourney.

Anyway, looking to keep the game around 4 hours long, here's the structure I'm looking at:

STARTING STACK: 200K (500 x 12, 1K x 14, 5K x 16, 25K x 4)
BLIND LEVELS: 15 minutes each

500/1K
1/2K
1.5/3K
2/4K
2.5/5K

**color up 500 chips**

3/6K
4/8K
5/10K
6/12K
8/16K

**color up 1K chips**

10/20K
15/30K
20/40K
30/60K
40/80K

I think this is good, but wanted to run it by the fine minds of PCF to get feedback.

That's almost an exact copy of my CPS tourney starting stacks, for the same reason too!
Ive found that this is a sound structure, nothing is confusing with chip colors when counting pots (PLO) and the big splash pots at your level 5 are beauties!
Good luck with your tournies!

Nice, thanks Jamie! Yeah, plus I love being able to give everyone a lot of chips to shuffle with early, rather than people constantly having to make change or sit there with like 8 chips in front of them like so many other home games that don't have a clue.

That looks pretty similar to the structure I use for T2000 tourneys w/ 5/10 starting blinds. It serves my group well (we use 20 min blinds).

gnu, your structure will run around 4 hours max plus breaks, on average.

I'd probably go with the structure below, to even out the jumps and provide for more early play. It will typically run about 4 hours or less, breaks included.
