I'm curious: Do you know the weight of the plastic vs. metal? Is it solid metal?

Are we talking 1 to 2 pounds vs 10 ounces? Something like that?

The tray itself is solid plastic and is reinforced with metal around the latch area. The lid is plastic on top but is solid metal underneath. Tray and lid combined weigh about 10 pounds or so.

It's that really tough composit plastic material that is re-inforced with a sheet of 10-16 guage steel

Here is a great product info video when these trays were TA branded. It's like the casino standard now, can't walk into a casino with out seeing these trays.

Slam lock is the way to go for sure I have the same one on my table.
This video is about the slam lock

Appreciate you adding this. Yeah, the quality of these trays is solid and are practically the standard for any casino. These trays were pretty hard to come by….especially in new condition with chamfered edges (recent design modification to allow for more room between the dealer’s shoe and 1st base. Further, to prevent damaging/bending/exposing when sliding the dealers hole card in front of the tray.

Having a the Tray/lid combo with a Tech Art built in, slam lock lid with a double cam bi-lock makes this a super rare find.

I happen to get lucky enough to find a couple these for myself and have a couple of extras. Really nice touch for any home blackjack table.
